Organ Gun + Blood for the Blood God

By Guest, in Warhammer Invasion Rules Questions

Hi! ;)

Here's the question: what happens if I have, let's say, Dwarf Ranger with the Organ Gun as a defender and my oppo plays BftBG?

My opinion is that he takes 3 damage (cause the condition "while fefending" lasts until the end of the combat), but I'd like to know your opinions cause I'm not so sure about it.

Thanks ;)

I would agree. Though, IIRC, BftBG can only be played to deal damage to a Unit in the BZ, so placing Organ Gun there is just asking for it IMO gui%C3%B1o.gif .

That is, assuming I'm remembering BftBG correctly.

Yep, as long as it's still in combat, it will work. BftBG is going to check the current power of the unit, not the base power.

I hadn't noticed that BftBG only works on units in the battlefield - I thought it was pretty weak even as a "play on any unit" card. Downgraded to a "never play unless there are sideboards" card IMHO. :)

Orcs still hate it. Troll Slayers keel over at the sight of it (at least once there are 2 devs in the BZ). Greatswords are mightily miffed by it.

It is a situational card intended to take out your opponents wrecking ball units. It is not so good about handling his average tough units. Perfect for guys with Organ Guns, Choppas, etc. the ones where two (and sometimes one) attacks can burn a zone. It may be situational, but the situation it works is is the one where you need a Hail Mary to save your butt.
