recently i learned that a skirmish campaign would fall in the skirmish category.
I already have some ideas on such a project, but I want your thoughts on how you would do it.
let me know and ill post all of them that i have so far.

Honestly, I feel that if you want to play a campaign mode use the one that comes in the box.
That said, if you want to string some skirmish missions together to form a "campaign", go for it.
I imagine the same basic concept of the Star Wars Armada campaign "Corellian Conflict" could work with a skirmish campaign.
Split your group into equal teams of Rebels/Imperials and give them a map with different objectives giving different bonuses. Some locations on the map would be fortified giving the defenders some sort of bonus.
Each Player starts with a basic tournament list and increase the point limit after the first match allowing them to purchase more units as they get points in each campaign session.
If a unique named unit is killed in a match they come back as "Injured" in the next round. (give them some sort of handicap) Allow players to use points to heal units in between rounds or purchase more reinforcements.
If an injured hero is killed then it is dead and cannot come back.
Once one team has enough victory points they can push for an all out assault with all players on both teams playing in one match. Winner takes all.
Swusn : briliant ideas, but very few ways of execution. I think i like that. ill keep it in mind when I am doing it again. I don't believe you would need to use basic tornement list at all don't they give you one in the skirmish guide?
The idea seems good, but:
1) If you start with 40 points and add cca. 10 points per game (otherwise the lists are basically the same), the games might get way too clustered quickly. Maybe start with a small scramble (30 pts), then progress through a skirmish (40, 50) to a proper battle (60 pts). You could also gradually increase the amount of points for the command deck, starting with around 11, then adding around 2 per match.
2) Starting with a tournament list just seems like it would hinder creativity. Promote/force/reward thematic lists and I think it would be much better.
