I just saw an event for gencon: Arkham Horror - The Labyrinths of Lunacy
Looks like it's a 6-12 player epic scenario. Kinda pumped for that.

6-12? That means I won't be able to play it ever. ![]()
For thursday's event:
Event registration closes at 12:45pm on Thursday, August 17th. Participants will be free to form their own groups to play through the scenario, there will be support staff on hand to help put people into groups of 6-12 players. Can you escape the labyrinth’s many chambers? Can you solve the Paradox and survive? Or will you perish in agony and despair? The special Gen Con scenario deck, "In the Labyrinths of Lunacy" will be provided to each participant.
I wonder if it'll be adaptable for the regular player count. That would be nice.

I wonder if they'll have the event again at Arkham Nights in October? I'd love to give that a try!
My guess is that it's pretty much this game's version of To the Barricades or Cycle of Eternity. The convention set-up that you'll pretty much only be able to make happen at conventions.

LotR had a similar scenario that supported up to twelve players, The Seige of Annuminas. It had a different structure depending on whether you played it as a regular scenario or an "epic multiplayer" one (it also proved popular enough that they're including epic multiplayer rules in the last Saga expansion for the last two scenarios).
12 players will be possible only after Carcosa comes out, since they are only 11 investigators in the current card pool.

Siege of Anuminas treated games as three linked but independent games of 4 players each, so uniqueness only applied within the game you were in. If this is an epic multiplayer, I'd expect much the same here.
If they didn't take a break at all, carcosa would be out at gencon, wouldn't it? Granted, I don't expect that, but still.
If they sell it, I'll buy it.
5 core sets, 3 dunwich, 2 of every mythos pack. I know the feels.
