I'm gonna jump onto the (small) Applied Perspectives bandwagon. I see a lot of Litko and Team Covenant out there. They're great, but having somewhat different templates a) is cool & b) stands out when your senile old self forgets them in the store after a tournament so they know who they belong to.
Templates
I still have and use my litko set from a few years ago, excellent customer service and I've ordered quite a bit from them over the years because of it. Mine are neon Green with my gamertag etched on them. Whatever you get, make sure to get it customized if you can in some way. It never fails... "Who the hell is 'Jyico'?!?!" "Oh hey that's my template!" Haven't lost one yet
Yeah, I ordered their (curled paw) templates and a token set. My first acrylic besides a store championship range ruler.

Anyway, what's my best source for a set, I'm not picky as long as they're FFG acceptable.
Thanks guys!!
...I've googled it, and there's a metric plethora of them out there, I need help, so I get a great set.
I like the Team Covenant ones. My only regret was buying the dark grey ones that are sometimes hard to find. I wish I'd opted for one of the brighter colors.

My Deutsch is a bit rusty, the site flummoxed me.....I couldn't find templates at all ?

chrome might translate for you.
I really like my Litko templates.

Its more of a UX problem, their new site really is not easy to manouver at all, even if you speak German natively.
Edit: I don't feel comfortable posting the direct link on this forum (contact me via PM if you want that), but these are their more famous templates:

And this is set set I have, as I prefer its uniformity:

Always great eyecandy and very usable, except for the one time where I played on a playmat with the same image they used to generate these...
Edited by Admiral DeathrainThis is my set, a plexiglass template set with magnetized tray. A great group in Italy makes them and they have a ton of different templates that feature absolutely gorgeous artwork. They have sets that have a larger tray to accommodate range rulers with the artwork on them too, but I opted for a smaller tray and got Imperial villain range rulers instead that are pictured below the templates. They look beautiful and feel great.

I've held and used Curled Paw templates and they look/feel nice. The notches for marking ships are handy as well. My set I was using prior to getting the MagicWorks templates were a mirrored blue set with an Imperial logo from KrakenSkull and I liked them a lot. Several people I know have KrakenSkull templates also and they recommend them. Cog O Two has some nice-looking templates but I've never seen any in person; I do plan to order some Armada templates from them soon once I get a hold of them to ask how to order painted templates.

The purple ones in your second picture are the ones I got too, along with matching range rulers. As you said, very eye catching. Another thing they have are acrylic HotAC accessories. They sell AI-arc ship-base overlays on the website and I think you can special order moveable acrylic turbo lasers and even acrylic space station pieces.
I have also purchased a set of maneuver templates from Applied Perspective as a gift. Simple, clean black. Very nice.
The absolute best Huge ship maneuver template I have seen is from Team Covenant. Their huge ship templates have an extra guide-nub on the side for much more stable and precise positioning during movement.

Those look sweet!

I thought so. I saw the following image on the Stay on the Leader blog of that guy's personal templates and immediately went to Reddit and asked "Does anyone know where he got these?" Once I found out where, I looked at the group's FB page and saw the Interceptor templates. Interceptors are my favorite ship, so I was love at first sight

okay, so where is that site?
I like my personalized X-wing templates from Litko. These, I had them make to represent the Star Wars gaming group out of Indianapolis, IN. I also ordered a set of tokens a couple of weeks ago.

I told OP after getting messaged that they didn't have a website. At the time I ordered from them, I contacted them on their FB page and did all of my business through FB messenger with no issues. When I asked about the possibility of selling their stuff through a webstore, they said they were going to get something set up eventually. It looks like they do have a site now, though it is still a WIP: http://www.magicworksgames.com
They can still definitely be reached through their FB page though: https://www.facebook.com/magicworksgames/

This is the set that I have! I LOVE them! I was looking at all the different templates and.....none of them seemed worth the $20-$25 for them. That is, until I saw these. I ordered them from Germany and it took a bit longer to get them, but they are fantastic! No one else has any like these...well, except my buddy who bought the purple set. I get so many comments on them as they are so different from everyone else. Many people used to think they were the Greenman Design stuff, but I don't know anyone who actually got theirs from that kickstarter.
For me, I felt these were so much more visually pleasing than just a monochromatic set from one of the many other places.
They also have some really cool tokens for sale, too. Oh, and Chrome will translate everything into English. You can also email them and they will work with you that way. I've worked with them a few times and they are good guys.

How long did you wait for your order to be fulfilled? I made an order for templates and tokens almost 4 weeks ago and my order history still shows the item as not being shipped. I'm close to giving up and going with a set from a local source.

Don't give up. Same thing happened to me. I was just about to contact them when they suddenly showed up in my mailbox even though the website still said not shipped. Even after I received them, my order status was still saying not shipped. It didn't get updated until I contacted them and asked about it. (I was secretly hoping a second set was going to show up later but it didn't). I'd say give it at least another week. They are worth the wait.

It took me about 8 weeks to get them. That is the only thing bad about ordering from them. I still think it's worth it, too. I've found them to be reasonably responsive.
Cog O Two get my vote. Fantastic product, fast lead time and the magnetic trays are great.

I'll give it some more time then. My only concern is that I've sent an email and messages from their 'contact us' page and have not heard anything back. While I'm waiting, I think I'll also give Magic Works a try.

I got that set with the alternative design for the range rulers:

currled paw, love them. templates and tokens. the problem is there are three of us using the same junk now... so our stress and focus/evades keep getting mixed up. ![]()

As luck would have it, I just got an email confirming shipment. Placed an order for Magic Works also and I hope they'll get here soon. I'll post some pics when they get here. The Magic Works templates look incredible, but I'm not sure about how distinct and readable the tokens will be on the table.

I'm glad they contacted you. Pics would be cool. I'll try to take some pics of mine too.
