So going back to the flying capability that the Inquisitor lightsaber had... Would anyone integrate that into their game for a light side PC if they wanted it? Could it follow the rules of a jet pack?

I was thinking about offering it to him as an escape method, similarly to how the inquisitors use it. Maybe give it X number of charges before it has to be recharged due to the amount of power it needs to create lift...

To be the devils advocate in this case, I would potentially allow it to enhance enhance. Like an attachment that states "spend 1 Dp once to extend the range of a force jump" or whatever. Essentially allowing it to assist with mega jumps if you can pay the pips.

That being said it depends on the star wars you like. A lot of people have a problem with realism, when star wars was originally a movie about wizards and the generic fantasy "slaying evil guy" story with a si-opera embellishment.

Nothing beyond having it be a bit of narrative flair for using Enhance's Force Leap ability.

I may be in the minority here, but I think if you have 1 hand and you attempt to wield a double bladed lightsaber...you are either going to end up hurting yourself or others due to the cumbersome nature of the size of both the blades and the hilt. My player asked if he could use it as a normal lightsaber if he only activated one blade, I wasn't sure how to respond and since no additional combat came up since then I haven't had to.

I was planning on stating that if he wanted to use a double lightsaber with 1 hand he would have to automatically increase any roll (engaged to hard) and if he used it single handed with a single blade it would have 2 setback for it being such a large hilt and heavier than a normal lightsaber due to the increased mass/wight.

I'd suggest hitting youtube and looking up practitioners of staves. There is plenty they can do one handed with a short or long staff. Granted it isn't as effective as two handed, a jo staff (about 4 feet long) acts almost like a slightly longer sword when used one handed because it can be held low and puts a majority of that 4 feet between opponents. Switching tactics also happens in a case like this where a single ignited blade would be held high, giving in effect a long hilt (watch SWTOR intro with Satele and her master for an example). Dual bladed both ignited would be a challenge unless it's with a shorter hilt similar to Maul's from Rebels. Finally it's not like these hilts weigh 50 lbs/kgs each. They're still really light and that extra mass would help with some of the more acrobatic forms of saber combat if properly used.
