Locally we have been running this format about every 6 months, mainly as a way to introduce players to the Epic format. I've composed a Google Docs file, with the relevant information. It runs from 4 to 6 weeks depending on the number of players you have, and follows a standard Swiss format, with some slight modifications for the initial seeding of players. Epic is such an under played format, ships and combinations that aren't viable in Standard format are fantastic in Epic. Ships that work great in standard, crumble into space dust when used in Epic. You get so many odd ball combinations that just make it a totally different game and different way to build lists.
