FFG's decision has set a very dangerous precedent

So I assume you will not be buying wave 11 as a protest?

Not buying wave 11 as protest sounds good. But I think boycotting FFG tourneys makes more sense. Especially as I am not buying into Wave 11 for other reasons already and stopped buying ships altogether during wave 10.

I don't think the slight from FFG has been done to be boycotting all OP tourneys. Michael doesn't look like he would be boycotting tournaments and he has the most reason out of all of us to make such an action.

The real solution is well not really a solution but rather the natural escalation of what's going to happen and the knee jerk reactions from the inevitable fall out. There will be more cheating in which FFG will be forced to hammer down hard on it (0-tolerance DQs, suspensions, blacklistings, ect) or canceling OP all together (thus nullifying any boycott). Really your best defense against cheating is the big brother nature of our world today with more live streaming coverage by 3rd party organizations, or even a friend to record and watch your games.

So until FFG-OP bans 3rd party coverage, there really is no need to boycott them.

Sometimes I am a man of principles. (which basically means, sometimes I am an unreasonable idiot).
So while you are right, I still refuse to act on your correct statement. :)
Boycot it is.
Though technical I have a legitimate reason on top of my emotional ones: What some other dude will satisfy, would not necessarily satisfy myself. Not playing the cut alone, based on getting cheated would infuriate me beyond reason. And there is little FFG did about that problem for Michael. :)

Do you have any proof of harassment against the cheater? It seems the "White Knights" started by Gold Squadron Podcast made up the harassment stories to make the cheater look like a victim. It also hides the fact that Gold Squadron Podcast ignored the twitch chat until the end of the game about the cheating incident.

Gold Squadron Podcast COULD have prevented this whole matter if they addressed the problem when the twitch chat TOLD them about it (AS SOON AS IT HAPPENED). But instead, Gold Squadron Podcast pretended they didn't see the chat and continued to ignore them until the end. By that time, the chat was pretty angry for being ignored. And so, Gold Squadron Podcast told the listeners to shut up and don't bring out the 'pitchforks'. They were just trying to cover their own butts. I have lost all respect for those guys and will never watch a stream or podcast from them again.

I am not a detective and in some ways it does not matter. If there is any proof of anyone harassing another player due to FFG X-Wing events then that person should be banned. This can include stalking fans and other situations.

As for the other points, totally different topic but I will say that I think FFG failed to take the appropriate actions from the evidence provided. Usually, we have to make decisions with less information and usually lack of proof. However, they did take action and it does not matter if I disagree. I still get to take my own actions as TO if the situation warrants.
