Dash and Chewie, buddy cops.

By crossvoicing, in X-Wing Squad Lists

What say ye internet?

Chewie can evade and for one attack, guess 0 with 3p0, and if blank reroll to a potential 3 evades but at least 2.

If Chewie is the target, the goal is to take out things with higher pilot skill than dash. If dash is the target he runs away with barrel rolls and Chewie comes in from behind.

I feel like Dash would get more benefit from Lone Wolf than Chewie. Here's how I would build them, with a 1 point initiative bid to boot:

YT-1300: · Chewbacca (42)
Rage (1)
Inspiring Recruit (1)
· Kanan Jarrus (3)

YT-2400: · Dash Rendar (36)
· Lone Wolf (2)
Heavy Laser Cannon (7)
· Rey (2)
· Outrider (5)

So amusingly that Chewie build was my first thought. But I don't have e Kanan. Maybe I can borrow a copy.

Expertise is one fewer point than rage, Kanan, recruit. Probably not as good though.

So given that sounds like you would recommend just swapping lone wolf and expertise.

My pleasure! Yeah, the only downside to expertise is that weaponized stress is still a thing, but yeah! Go for it!

I've flown this list - it's good fun and reasonably effective. It lacks repositioning to a degree (YT-1300) and having lone wolf is somewhat problematic as keeping 2 large base ships apart is tricky at points. Raging Chewy is pretty cool though!
