The first pic is a dragon but not Dragon Clan. That girl ist the ****** Thunder Dragon and was allied with the Mantis.

The second is a Lion.

The third a Phoenix i think.

One of my favorite Dragon Bushi depictions. The actual card was not very good, and the character was never important (though he did have potential to be - he was a member of the Kolat conspiracy. The Kolat wanted to destroy the Celestial Order and let mortals run things - especially themselves, of course).

The Dragon Clan does have a small bit of history with her...kinda. Way back after Fu Leng was first defeated, Hida (the Kami and founder of the Crab clan) would not stop mourning his son's loss (his only son had been the 'Thunder' for the Crab clan. a kind of destined hero, and did not make it back from the Shadowlands). The Kami and founder of the Dragon Clan, Togashi, was an actual dragon, and he asked the Thunder dragon to ensure that Hida had a new heir, since Togashi knew that was essential. the Thunder dragon appeared to Hida as a beautiful woman, in the midst magnificently powerful storm, and said "I am the Storm, and I love you". They had...relations...and nine months later she brought Hida a son, Osano-Wo.

Trying to imagine how this went down.

Dragon: "I am the Storm, and I love you."

Hida: "Oh hey, don't you think we should get inside, or--"

BOOM! LIGHTNING!

Hida: "That tree just exploded!"

Dragon: "Come closer..."

Hida: "You're insane!"

BOOM! LIGHTNING!

Hida: "Forget this, I'm outta here!"

Well it was Hida, the strongest person in the world.

The idea was that Hida had been standing alone on the battlements of his castle for months, staring to the south, where his son had been lost. Nothing *but* an amazing display like that could have shaken him from his grief.

Another bit of epic lore: More than sixty years after Fun Leng's defeat, Hida said he still needed to find out first son's (Hida Atarasi) fate. Hida marched alone into the Shadowlands, and historians recorded that he died that year. However, many centuries later, a Unicorn shugenja named Iuchi Karasu was captured by a powerful undead being named Moto Tsume. Tsume showed Iuchi Karasu a great battle between two huge men. It was Hida and his son, Atarasi, who had been corrupted as he died, by the dark power of Fu Leng. Atarasi had struck the heads from the other heroes that died fighting Fu Leng, so they could not be raised as servants of the Shadowlands. However, Atarasi had no-one to do the same for him, so the great hero was turned into a powerful minion of evil. Hida and the corrupted Atarasi fought for a thousand years, until finally Hida slew the thing that had once been his son. Hida then built a temple / tomb to honor the Seven Thunders who defeated Fu Leng, before he finally passed away from his wounds. The strength of Hida's divine soul not only kept him from being corrupted, it also forever kept the tomb 'pure', even though it was in the heart of the Shadowlands.

This is by far my favorite Unicorn art. I'm still wondering whether the artist intended it that way, but you can clearly see it's his wrong foot in the stirrup.

Logically, if he mounts his horse that way, he'll face backwards. :)

So much yes to this topic! :D

Some of my favorites.

It's a joke. No worries. Just as long as the Dragon Clan don't think they get ALL the dragons... ;)

 Not enough Ponies.

Oh come now, surely we all realize that the best Dragons are in the Phoenix Clan ;)

Indeed. Who is she?

She was Fusako, a ronin duelist and featured on some of the promotions for 2013. She was the daughter of Fusami, another ronin duelist who later joined the Dragon.

Pfft. The Dragon Clan got far less dragons over the course of the game's history than the Phoenix, which is silly, to out it nicely. They even ret-conned it so that Togashi wasn't a true dragon anymore (a ret-con that a lot of people, including myself, ignored for various reasons).
