PS 6 max Monthly tournament list

By Wcardinal, in X-Wing Squad Lists

We are having our monthly tournament here and we try to change things up. Here are this months rules:

Each pilot must be Unique.

No pilot can be above PS 6.

VI or adaptability can be used to bring a Pilot up to 6, but not above.

Adaptability cannot be used to bring a pilot down to 6.

I'm looking @ two lists

Rebels (98)

"Snap" Wexley (32) - T-70 X-Wing
Trick Shot (0), BB-8 (2), Pattern Analyzer (2), Integrated Astromech (0)

Braylen Stramm (32) - ARC-170
Gunner (5), R3-A2 (2), Alliance Overhaul (0)

Thane Kyrell (34) - ARC-170
Weapons Engineer (3), M9-G8 (3), Alliance Overhaul (0), Vectored Thrusters (2)

or

Imperials (98)

Colonel Vessery (36) - TIE Defender
Juke (2), TIE/x7 (-2), Twin Ion Engine Mk. II (1)

"Deathrain" (38) - TIE Punisher
Enhanced Scopes (1), Extra Munitions (2), Cluster Mines (4), Proximity Mines (3), Lightweight Frame (2)

"Pure Sabacc" (24) - TIE Striker
A Score To Settle (0), Adaptive Ailerons (0), Lightweight Frame (2)

I would love some help w/ comments/critiques.

Ummm, This list is AWESOME for this scenario, if not a little OP....... I have done well in standard LGS tournaments with it

"Deathfire" (28) - TIE Bomber - Homing Missiles (5), Cluster Mines (4), Extra Munitions (2), Long-Range Scanners (0)

Colonel Vessery (36) - TIE Defender - Trick Shot (0), Tractor Beam (1), TIE/D (0)

Countess Ryad (36) - TIE Defender - Push The Limit (3), TIE/x7 (-2), Twin Ion Engine Mk. II (1)

Depending on your preference, you can use Conner Net in place of Cluster Mines. You can also run Vess with x7 and juke if you prefer

I forgot to add small based ships only.

T-70 X-Wing: •"Snap" Wexley (39)
Vectored Thrusters (2)
Push the Limit (3)
Plasma Torpedoes (3)
R2 Astromech (1)
Pattern Analyzer (2)

HWK-290: •Kyle Katarn (32)
•Moldy Crow (3)
Rage (1)
Twin Laser Turret (6)
•Hera Syndulla (1)

X-Wing: •Garven Dreis (29)
Integrated Astromech (0)
•R5-P9 (3)

Total: 100/100

Just pass those focus tokens back and forth between Garven and Kyle and avoid arcs with Snap.

So Vessery is going to be great in this format, but not with the wingmates you have him with in that list. Remember that he needs others to provide him with the target lock so he can get his for free. Deathrain is going to be using his action for mines typically and Strikers cannot target lock at all. I'd probably fly him with Ryad and maybe Valen Rudor.

TIE Defender: · Colonel Vessery (35)

Juke (2)

Twin Ion Engine Mk. II (1)

TIE/x7 (-2)

TIE Defender: · Countess Ryad (34)

Push The Limit (3)

Twin Ion Engine Mk. II (1)

TIE/x7 (-2)

TIE Avanced Prototype: · Valen Rudor (22)

Juke (2)

Autothrusters (2)

TIE/v1 (1)

-- TOTAL ------- 99p. --

So with Kyle, if he rages once, sure he can do a red move, but he still can't rage again. I think you'd be better off with inspiring recruit than Hera

I thought of that, but basically Hera keeps his dial open no matter what (so many times I wanted to go fast to keep up, but couldn't) and there were no other 1 point upgrades I liked for his list. Could always drop Plasmas and go with Predator.

Thanks for all the help!
