Decklists for proxy testing

By Eugene Earnshaw, in Legend of the Five Rings: The Card Game

A fair amount of spoiled cards, enough to make 'allied clan decks' made up of several clans working together, to play around with the mechanics and see the personalities in action.

* Indicates a little guesswork needed to use. My guesses follow:

Way of the Crab: text reads: Action: Choose a crab character, choose an opponent. Each player must sacrifice a character. 0 cost.

Brash Samurai: From a pretty hard to read image, here is the deciphered version: http://l5r.gamepedia.com/Brash_Samurai

Way of the crane: text reads: Action: Choose a Crane character you control. Honor that character.

X Fashion: Can be played as a 2 cost for +4 pol card, or with following guesswork text:

This card cannot be played during a conflict.

Are you trying to build balanced decks or anything goes type decks that are trying to leverage potentially strong card interractions that may not be possible?

Just curious. Seems like a fun excercise either way

Just trying to put together playable decks with variety. One could cut things down to 30/30 without too much loss; it just might lead to a bit of repetitiveness. No particularly deep thought went into the clan groupings -- I just thought that those groupings would be a bit closer to the feel of a Lion and a Crane deck respectively, since those are the strongholds we have. I don't think there are any inter-clan card synergies that seem especially broken. There might be cheaper overall personalities than a full clan can do, since we've mostly seen little guys, but both sides are like that, so it shouldn't be a big advantage either way.

My guess on what the X stands for in your X Fashion is Latest, since you know Crane are all about the latest fashion trends!

Actually, you can see a bit of the last character before the "Fashion" part. And if you compare to other cards, it seems to be a "f". I'd say it's something like "Peak of Fashion" or something like that. And considering the bonus it gives, I'd go with the text "Attach only to a Crane character. Attached character can only participate in POL conflicts"
