The Star Wars databank refers to it as an Imperial Listener Ship. The official designation is IGV-55 surveillance vessel.

The ship that was basically a gozanti merged with a arrggghhhh kitten?

More like the offspring of a Gozanti and an E-3 Sentry

Hahaha no you got it all wrong, you see it went like this, one night the gozanti and the arrggghhh kittens went to the pub and got drunk, when they woke up in the morning they were in bed with the E-3 Sentry and it was not till a few months later we get...... Whatever the result is

Those are all cool. I'm down!

I agree, those would also be good additions.

WASH YOUR BRAIN OUT WITH SOAP, YOU DEGENERATE!!!
I mean, come on, that thing is fugly. Please, let that thing wallow in the EU trash can along with the Sun Crusher.
It's true, though, because the creators seem to like to keep the Empire fairly uniform, they have not released a lot of different types of Imperial ships. That doesn't bother me all
that
much, because I
like
love
the Empire and its uniformity, and it makes playing Armada easier on my wallet.
Still, I also want new toys. I feel like the Quasar Fire and I will have an arranged marriage (learn to love after the nuptials), because she's none to pretty. But, if it's going to be that torpedo ship, then.... what do they say about waking up next to someone who makes you want to gnaw your arm off rather than wake her up?
To everyone calling for the broadside cruiser from EMPIRE at war we got the Gladiator which is essentially a larger version.
At least it's not as ugly as the Tartar-class patrol cruiser. I hated the look of those things.
To go back to MC75 base size. I think it should be a large ship. It is 1200m long based on the rouge one ultimate visual guide. This is very similar to both mc80s. Base on the limited data I can collect on the interdictor cruise it is 1010m long base on this image, which I admit I have no idea if this is legitimate or just a fans best guess.
That being said and defended, I would rather it be medium base. Maybe the volume compared to MC80s could justify medium base.

Nope, that's a Disneyzanti. With Mickey Mouse ears.

Not the Interdictor we have now.
This is the "Legends" interdictor.
The new Interdictor, as first shown on Rebels, is different in quite a few ways... Sizing is one of them, they've openly stated...
Of course, getting
actual
measurements is not easy, as they are not directly provided.
(Reference the engines for differences in these shots)
That being said I don't disagree that the current (Rebels) Interdictor pushes the boundaries of Large ships - it does too .
But at the very least, our References to such needs to be relevent...
(I judge it based on the Hangar bay being at least the same size between the Interdictor and ISD - since both of them fit a CR90)

Thank you for the clarification. I noticed the top looked different but the side and bottom views are very similar.
I really want a length on the new interdictor. It's frustration. **** you Darth Mickey!
Edited by Rune TaqNo doubt was that used for inspiration - but the Rebels Crew have said that, in their own descriptions, that they took the Interdictor Cruiser as general inspiration and then messed around with its size, since it was going to start as a One-Off rather than a full Class....
... Of course, its now a new class, what with the Prototype Exploding and them sending a few more out into the field... Where... Y'know... They Exploded...

That is not the Interdictor as in the Immobilizer -418, nor a modified Imperial class, the two most common sightings in the EU. That thing is a hybrid, and frankly looks like Rebels concept art. This is not the Immobilizer 418. Below is one (fairly low-quality) image of the original Immobilizer, below that another better, vaguely technical drawing.
For another perspective, this is a comparison, Legends Immobilizer above, new Interdictor below.
I'd throw in the modded Imperials , but a modded Imperial that clearly is not. I do not claim that the original image is not potentially an Interdictor type ship from Legends, but it is not the notorious Immobilizer that fulfilled the vast majority of that ship type in that canon. As noted in the technical drawing, the new ship is very much larger (I also am baffled why the ship is not Large, my suspicions lay with a certain Admiral blown to smithereens at Yavin 4), does not have the classic mirrored lines the older version has, and has two pairs of gravity projectors of different sizes, whereas the older ship has four identical units.
Re: the MC75, I would like to see it as another Large, I think that's about appropriate, but also wouldn't mind seeing the Rebel Medium ranks filled out some (though not with that ship). I'd also like to use that as an excuse to beg for another Imperial Large, like Allegiance , Secutor , or some other cool death wedge ( Finalizer 's Resurgence class is far too large), but that is off topic.
As I hinted - Check the Engines.
3 Engines on the Concept Art.
1 Main Engine in Rebels

I said concept art. The Immobilizer is usually depicted with a pair of main engines, so it is neither/a hybrid like I hypothesized. And the overall similarities are much closer to the Rebels ship. The hull form is identical at the broad strokes, particularly the lower hull, and only diverge for that trench down the upper hull centerline, and the bridge tower, which is again some form of hybrid. Either way, if it is some previously unknown Sienar product (the Immobilizer and its progenitor Vindicator class heavy cruiser are SFS creations; the Imperial class is a Kuati design), it is like the Rebels version and a little-known (galactically) prototype.
