I took the head of my extra Ardus (from a 2nd core) and put it onto Homer from Zombicide Black Plague. Will be adding pictures as I go through the process of making a nicer base (which will feature Homer's head) and then painting.

I have to say, Ardus IMO looks better without the overdone skull motive on his armor. The antlers say enough. I cleaned some of the major mold lines and sanded the cape a little.
Now let's move to the painting.
Priming - quick and dirty Zenithal priming (as seen in this video from Sorastro).
Vallejo Black Primer -> Sombre Gray -> Dead White

Painting the swords - Wet blended from black through shades of green o white, then painted a white line in the middle of the blade and on the edges.
See this guide from tabletopminions for an explanation of the process.

Cape - went with a bit of a typical wraith scheme. Needs to be retouched. Still haven't got the hang of painting fabrics.
Applied some other base colors matching my chosen blue-green heavy Waiqar theme. The body fits really well!

Dude that's awesome
I'm thinking about accessories.
Here's a couple of options:
The Classic

The Pincushion

The C-3PO

And here is a basic concept for the base:

Incredible!
Poll time:
A shield or the "flank guard" on the back? ![]()
I like "the classic."
Shield, the flank guard is too disturbing for me
i like the shield with arrows in it.
The first one, the skeletal shield thing, looks kinda odd to me. Like its not suppose to be a shield kind of odd.
Yeah the shield will work well ![]()
There's enough skeletons crawling out from the base already.
The GW Skeletons kit I'm using has some more cool shield options. One of them has to work. Or I'll keep it as it is. He looks good already.
Anyway - the base.

I went about this a bit back asswards and first primed the base black, then realised I wanted more texture and after that primed gray and white.

Now onto more painting:

Not sure about the amount of grass added. Maybe I'll rip some of it out and rework the flocking. I need to check how it looks on our grass mat, it should look better on a matching surface.

I think it could do with a little less grass, but then I'm a minimalist when to comes to flocking. Great job on this conversion however you decide to proceed! ![]()

Yeah I came to the same conclusion after it dried.
I'll be doing some plucking tonight! Yay!
Edit: or maybe just cut it shorter
The skeletons definitely pop more on the brown dirt since I went with my blue Waiqar armor for them.
