Is Expertise Dengar the answer to XXXXAttani??

I saw a bit of this alluded to on the Worlds page, given the current state of the META, is an Expertise Dengar the thing to bring to upcoming store championships. If so, what about this list, can it compete with Parattani, Bumpattani, Hawkattani, whatever you call Old Teroch, Fenn and Manaroo-attani......

I think that without the plasma torpedo punch of similar lists, your two ships won't have the power to erase a jmp5k before torpedoes are thrown your way. Dengar can be quite fragile to such attacks; destroying enemies before they shoot is his best defense.

Im going to try out an Asajj/Dengar list myself. I will be sticking with the 58 pt Worlds Dengar and Asajj will have PtL and Latts (no engine). Asajj will try to compensate for the lack of offense compared to Torp-Tel by having more staying power (through Latts and evades by Ptl) and adding some nice stress control at times.

Assaj Dengar is a very strong list right now. Dengar/Expertise/K4/Unhinged/Title, Assaj/PTL/Latts is the core of it, flavour to taste on the last 5 points, I usually go with gyros on Assaj and drop in a rigged chute as well, but Engine on one of them is also a solid investment. Dengar, in particular, rarely needs his action for anything except defence, so increasing his ability to arc dodge is a really good idea - but so's taking a good bid.

58 points Dengar is savage and brutal. I appreciate him with two Quadjumpers, but really he slaughters Attani when combined with anything decent. I've been playing him almost exclusively, and he's a real beast.

I was tooling around with a 58 point Dengar as well. I came up with this:

In Progress (100)

Dengar (58) - JumpMaster 5000
Veteran Instincts (1), Proton Torpedoes (4), Boba Fett (1), R4 Agromech (2), Scavenger Crane (2), Punishing One (12), Countermeasures (3)

Asajj Ventress (42) - Lancer-class Pursuit Craft
Push The Limit (3), Latts Razzi (2)

With it at 100 I thought the PS11 will help with other aces (*cough* Fenn *cough*) and there is a mod there with the R4. The crane can work both for the countermeasures and the torp. With the countermeasures helping with the aforementioned fragility.

Another huge part of his defense is to try to bump as much as possible early on since with Expertise and K4 his attacks will still always be modded.

Yeah, I took off Engine and added Plasma Torps Extra Munitions.......It just makes sense that she'll be covering his sides and back so she shouldn't need Engine upgrade, she's fast enough to do that without it.........

As an aside, I had the Dengar list I posted in my bag to play at casual play prior to worlds, but didn't pull it out. I wish I would have as I'll only get a few games in with them together, but I have flown the Jumpmaster, not Dengar, a lot and Asajj is my favorite pilot/ship, so I have her down.....here's hoping I can bust some Attani *** LOL!!!!
