I don't think you've asked a whole question. You have Recon Specialist on Kyle Katarn's HWK-290... and?

Recon spec is only when you perform the focus action, not when you assign a focus token

Inquisitor sorry, yes i meant to say the rec. spec would be a crew on Kyle's ship.I was hoping that with Kyle's ability triggering at the start of combat this would trigger the recon spec.'s ability thus granting an extra focus.

Yeah, this is a bit of a 'read the card' thing, to be fair. Recon Specialist says 'When you perform a focus action', so ask yourself whether Kyle assigning a focus token to another ship is a focus action – or even an action at all.

With the Moldy Crow title, you could stack a bunch of tokens with Rec Spec, but it would not trigger when you passed the token.

Agreed,I had planned only to have recon spec. and no title on Kyle.And maybe have him fly around with either an ace or Biggs maybe. Also with an autoblaster turret depending on points and the squad.

You should be able to make the points work to have an Ace, Biggs, and Kyle. If you're going RecSpec on Kyle, you should probably make room for the title, but that's just my opinion. It may not be totally necessary.
