I am going to be in Phoenix for a business conference and expect to have some free time in the next few days. All my ships are still packed up and ready to go, so I figured I would see if there is anybody in the Phoenix area that would want to get in a game sometime in the next few days. I won't have a car, but I can either Uber somewhere or if you can come to me and either way I can pick up a case of cold ones to split over some plastic spaceships.

I get in town tomorrow morning and I'll be there till Friday at noon.

That's what I thought! I am going to go ahead and assume it's Phoenix. Please someone play Armada with me, if I have to work 3 days straight I am going to be so disappointed.

I was in Arizona last year in August (Tucson and Phoenix) and had no luck finding people to play with. Best of luck!

I know there's a Place and Players up in Prescott, but that doesn't really help....

Not anymore. I was there for a 3 week TDY for the Air Force and was hoping to get X-Wing or Armada in. I think I'm going to get myself a small case for trips. I am hoping to take a short trip (3 months is short, right?) to Keesler AFB in Mississippi so I'll reach out to people then.

To the OP, I find searching for stores in the area you will be in and hitting their Facebook page is a good way to get some contact with people. I'd reach out to 3 or 4 stores.

I could have sworn there was someone asking for players in Prescott not too long ago, (but a search isn't finding it, so its off the rocker most probably).

... but at the very least, as I pointed out - there's a Store Champs planned in Phoenix, so someone plays there

Can't find much else at the moment, but the only Store Champs scheduled in Miss (which is always a good indication of where they are players/purchasers) is in Hattiesburg.

I checked out Imperial Outpost back in Regionals season but never got through to anyone there who knew anything about Armada.

The shop is about 25 minutes from where I am staying, so it's not close but not out of range either. If that is someone's home shop I could meet them there.
