I brainstormed some new list ideas while I was sitting around with nothing better to do. Didn't even push anything around the board.
Post in this thread if / when you had an enjoyable experience with the game!

I brought a new list to casual game night to try something different and had fun.
Edited by VergiliusI ran my own version of the demo game last weekend for a friend's GF, she had a really good time and is now completely hooked on the game. It was a really good feeling to host a game that was apparently very fun to play. The couple has been messaging me all week about fleets they want to try.
I'm currently finishing up the last of my Current squadron Commissions, and I'm setting up the procedure for people to interact with my business for Store Championships at the Sentry Box - since I'm now in charge of that completely and officially...

SO....MANY.....JOKES
But really I try not to bring my lusts out in public. Our game nights just aren't that casual...
I'm slowly making my tuckboxes and painting the squadron packs as time permits. I do enjoy watching the work come together, even though I've seen way more intricate paint jobs than mine.
Also realizing that I better get some practice in for the SC's coming up.
After 19 months of on-and-off begging, I finally got a second person to play a game of Armada with me, and after playing the Learning Scenario twice (once single Core set, then double) he claimed to like it and be open to playing again! ![]()
I came up with as extreme a Rieekan Aces counter list as I could...
Arquitens Light Cruisers with Spinal and Cluster Bombs X 3
Raider 1 with Tua, Cluster Bombs, OE, Flechette, QLT
Gozanti with the Man himself, Vader
And a nice little 60 point squad screen.
I laughed and laughed and laughed. Because I love cluster bombs.
But seriously though, I only got to play a round or two of it, but Spinal Arquitens aren't bad with Vader, especially since they have 4 tokens.
I've just started painting my long-overdue Imperial squadrons. It is a bit meticulous compared to my most recent painting jobs (E-Wings are easy!) but very satisfying when I finish a squadron of defenders and they don't look half bad.
Edit: That's because it looks ALL BAD!

Everyone I play I have fun!
Except when I use a liberty........ Stupid ship.
Defenders and Defenders+Maarek are what I'm on right now... Then its Finish up Whisper... Then final touchups on the Decimators... Then, hopefully, my new White has arrived and I can finish off the two Lambdas and call this commission done ![]()
I finished painting my 2nd Interdictor, I will get around to posting pics eventually
Lancers!
E-wings!
I had it today posting the c3po joke in the gross thread.
The last time I had fun with Armada was the first game I got Jonus and ILCs working in a list. glorious glorious ship destruction!
On May the Fourth, my local game store (OC Games and Comics, a Northwest Iowa game and comic store) had their grand opening of their new location. Prior to that, the store owner, who is my friend, asked me if I would be willing to demo the game at their store for May the Fourth. I of course jumped on that opportunity and got to demo the game to two people. One was a younger kid who had heard of the game and was looking into it online, and the other was one of our communities X-Wing regulars. The kid said he was interested in learning and playing the game while my X-Wing regular friend took the plunge Sunday and got a core set for Armada! Now I am planning on meeting with them both this coming Friday to play Armada and to continue to teach them. In my area, we currently have about 4-5 consistent players, so it is an awesome feeling knowing that due to my efforts to promote this game, it is slowly growing in our community.
I also made a new fleet that I am eager to fly and try out! It is a slight counter to Rieekan Aces, but it is otherwise a neat fleet concept in my humble opinion.

Fleet created with Armada Warlords
I lost a game to a friend last Friday.
I was able to have so much fun watching him enjoy the victory that I felt like I won, too.
I'm determined to get a double Interdictor list to work! Some day...
Edited by DemocratusI did some painting last night.
I also have a large order of ships on its way. I will finally have more then one of each ship.
Now I just need to find an opponent!
I played an AWESOME game against Ginkapo yesterday where it came down to whether or not he could roll 3 hits on a single tie fighter to kill Wedge for the win - he did it! 3 of 3 hits! My heart was pounding so hard the whole time. I killed an ISD, he killed an ISD's worth of squads, and the MOV ended up being 16 points in his favor.
@mcworrell What color did you go with for the Ties?
Edited by BrobaFett@BrobaFett I have a very limited number of colors...did a generic Matt black with a metallic silver for the wing struts and cockpit.
i tried a few different whites and grays, but never really loved the look. These are adequate.
Edited by mcworrellOur 12 man campaign finally came to an end, so I got a chance to shake it up for the first time in months. Played a DtO inspired skew list:
4 x CR90A w/ TRC, Intel Officer
CR90B w/ Dodonna's Pride, Leading Shots
Transport w/ Dodonna, Bright Hope, Lando
Luke
5 x A-Wings
Squared off against a Sato list and only took a single damage card while wiping everything but his Admonition off the board. It was such a change of pace (I played Imps in the campaign) and I really fell in love with the game again!

This was very fun!
I went into the game expecting to lose but kill Yavaris (It was scarred and in a campaign...) In the end I HAD to settle for just annihalating his squadrons to win the game. Ozzel is great fun to fly, even against that awful commander called Rieekan.

Inspired by your list I ran off and created one of my own. I am not sure if I want to drop the Jumpmaster for Sabre or another TIE/I though. Now I am having fun with Armada today lol
