So IG-88's ability says "you ignore the escort and counter keywords on enemy squadrons". If I attack Biggs (or any other squadron with escort at distance 1 of Biggs) with IG can Biggs still use his ability to pass off damage. It came up yesterday and we played it as Biggs could still work because only IG is ignoring the escort keyword but I can see the argument in favor of no.

I believe you are correct.

IG-88 functionally ignores the Escort Keyword - he is not subject to its restrictions.

But the Squadron still has escort. Its just being ignored for IG-88s attack...

Again, its not 100%, and its never been addressed via an email question to my knowledge.

I honestly assumed it so, based on the wording use above.

IG ignores, not delete, escort still in play. Biggs doesn't ignore. Biggs skill point to you. You is Biggs. So Biggs works.

IG ignores so he may attack whoever he wants. But Biggs doesn't ignore it so he still can distribute damage among escorts.
