So this is a 400 pt variant of a very successful CC list. It is not my preference (there are no Star Destroyers :( ), that said it's incredibly fun to fly. I'm considering running this in a tournament on Saturday.

The list is constructed to get as many combat ships on the board as reasonably possible. First is the best option, but 2nd isn't bad against 4 or less activations, it gets more challenging as the other side gets 5-6.

The basic battle plan is to slow roll with the Arqs providing long range supporting fire with the Demo & 'Fleshy' Raider, (no direct relation to the flesh Star Destroyer, possibly 3rd cousin twice removed), making Ozzel boosted attack runs in sequence. Sending both in together generally gets one dead.

The original had APTs on the raider, but given the steady rise of Rieken Aceholes and bombers in general, a last first 'Fleshy' raider works wonders. There's no good way to get a large fighter screen, so it runs with 2 scatter aces that are fast and after initial jump don't care a ton about direct activation.

I'm looking for any thoughts, advice, or general reports if you've run something similar.

Looks like a fun list. Lots of pew pew!

I'm interested in the choice of Whisper as Ciena's stablemate rather than Valen. Is there a synergy there?

That's not bad idea. And no specific synergy. Just the ability to annoy along the fringes.

Whisper is great because it can get in engagement, no one wants to attack Ciena so becomes the target, then can scatter and move OUT of engagement and force them to suck Ciena counter damage. I used this pair in a casual game and it worked better than expected!

I'm going to have to try that, I love Ciena, and Whisper looks super fun.

I feel like a little bit of acc-fishing might be helpful somewhere, you're really just chewing on defensive tokens, but maybe with so many attacks that's ok?

Will be interested to hear how this gets on, looking to run something similar in a couple of weeks. Going with an extra raider instead of an Arq and JJ instead of ozzel, squadron choice is my biggest issue.

JJ does work, and is a regular go to of mine. However, he was the admiral of a fleet I had to retire in the CC campaign. So when I decided to run MSU for WTFnot reasons, Ozzel was really the only commander they made sense... and it worked surprisingly well. Small ships greatly enjoy jumping 2-3 speeds on a whim... allowed for some fantastic arc/range dodging. JJ allows for some more precise maneuvering, but that damage is considerably more painful on a small ship.

My original list was as you describe 2 raiders, 2 arqs, demo, & gonzati. However, I found using the 2nd Raider to be extremely difficult and ultimately it was lost & replaced w/ the 3rd arq.

But this is very much a finesse list as if your in the wrong place anything can be one shot. So if you prefer raiders go for it.

My favorite buildout for Arquitens is DTT and Intel Officer. They are taking 2-4 damage typically, which isn't as much and less reliable than a TRC vette, but if you can strip a token with each attack ESPECIALLY against the likes of a large ship or flotilla, it makes them super deadly. If you find the point room for at least 2 intels, I would recommend trying it to see how it works for you.
