great stuff. Really like lucky dice.

Or are they?

how about Dark Horse? Is this no-resource survivor stuff a thing we're going to do? Seems like it could work out. Maybe?

They changed 1 word in the level 2 version of survival instinct, and its arguably one of the strongest skill mods in the game now.

I'm only seeing one version of Will to Survive. Can you link me to the other?

I meant survival instinct . Survivor cards use the word "survive" alot.

Agreed - took me a minute to figure out what had changed, but the new one is outstanding.

"If it bleeds ..." really  ? What's next ? "Get to tha Zeppelin !"

What does the Developed keyword do?

Developed, in italics on Opportunist, is a trait not a keyword. From the rules reference:

Traits:

Most cards have one or more traits listed at the top of the text box and printed in bold italics.

=Traits have no inherent effect on the game. Instead, some card abilities reference cards that possess specific traits.

That's the first card that caught my eye. Seems good later on, once you've gotten some good stuff out onto the field, but keeping yourself at 0 resources may be a little too steep.

I do like it as "Dead Duke" insurance for Pete, and it's intriguing to have the possibility of the neutral investigator from Carcosa having 4s across the board, but I will have to see.

Lone wolf, emergency cache, fire axe, and any of the assets that allow you to resource dump. Turns Jenny into a turn to turn skill test monster with only a little setup. You can gain resources, just be sure you can dump them before the skill test. Then just do the more difficult tests first, dump your resources right away, and then you're boosted for the less difficult tests.

Hi all,

Please do not read below if you don't want to be spoiled with scenaristic facts.

For FFG's purpose

There is a problem with this adventure:

In this scenarii, we have to deal with the Yog-Sototh broods who are Abomination + Monster and with a text box that immune them to attacks and damages from any sources except Esoteric Formulae. Ok that was fun to play when we opened our pack and tested it at first glance.

But once at home I looked back at my cards and what I discovered is that you forgot to give them the Elite trait.

So, if I wouldhave been a Mystique player, with copy of Mind Wipe

Quote

in my deck, the Brood which were really great treats at first appearance would oly have been monsters with 1 hit point and that I could kill even with only the 1 damage of Agnès Baker heroic ability?

Sounds incredible that they are not Elite. Is that some misstake ?

That's the first time I have something bad to report about this fantastic game since it was launched.

Thanks.

I don't think its so bad.

First, Mind Wipe is a fast action that requires you to absorbed a hit from the creature or have it spawn on you. If it works, great, but its not something that just wins the scenario. There is no way to get it back yet... had Wendy been able to play Mind Wipe I can see a problem. But at most an investigator can pull this off 2 rimes, and then has to wait for a deck reshuffle. There is also the randomness of the game that can prevent it.

They still have a powerful Fight score. Its still a challenge to kill them. I suppose if the game is on easy it makes them trivial, but playing on easy is trivial to begin with.

Also 5 of them will spawn up, along side the other threats that the deck has.

Making them elite would have would really limit the options players could do to avoid them and there would be too much variance in the scenario. I think the Mind wipe play is strong, but I think its actually a better play alongside the esoteric formula, as it will allow you to kill the abomination at the beginning of a phase.
