Cannot Get Your Ship Out! 5/8 through 5/14

You'd be short one yaw on one joint, but otherwise that's totally doable as by my reading Jerry can be used just the once, so you couldn't use his ability at speed 1 and then again at speed 2 once you've changed your speed.

Ah, true. "During" means once per step, so no joy. Still it may be worth it to trigger him at speed 1 instead of 2 to get double yaw on ET.

It certainly gives you a fair bit more control on your odds of double-arcing, depending on your circumstances.

Actually I'm rereading RRG and we both may be wrong on this. "While" can only be triggered once, I can't find any such limitation on "during" keyword.

Huh, good catch. So presumably you may be able to make it work as you'd like with a super-click Interdictor, provided you're okay with eating up two shields to do so.

Yup, and this is only relevant for Interdictor as every other Imperial ship that can take ET can do a native double-yaw at 1.

Correct, I was thinking the same, haha.

Still given the Interdictor is quite capable of regenerating large quantities of shields on its own it's worth considering!

I ran a game with an Interdictor vs. a Jerry-player with 3 VSDs, I ran all of my obstacle shenanigans to create a giant maze of rocks and rubble for one of his VSDs, and it danced through the field completely unphased thanks to Jerry and his ability to give it 4-clicks of yaw in two moves. It was terrifying, and beautiful.

It's moments like yours that make me love running Jerry, win or lose. When wave 5 came out, I ran 4 VSDs and some Arquitens in a big 500 point game to try out Jerry. My opponent Mike (the guy who won Adepticon's Sunday Armada tournament) was just astounded at what the VSDs were capable of doing with Jerry. He wasn't able to predict their movements nearly so well as he normally could and made some incorrect assumptions (not his fault, he'd literally never faced Jerry before; both of us were surprised). It was a blast.

It really does look like overall Jendon being the better choice. He doesn't rely on a random variable (going second and/or having an objective that can be manipulated via Strategic) to contribute fully and for five points more, the double Braces and his ability work a lot better with the notion of a Relay unit.

In the right builds he is, but Strategic on the regular Lambda when used well is extremely strong. There are a lot of objectives that use objective tokens and so Strategic when you build your fleet to take advantage of it will come into play pretty regularly. Not every game (say you go first and your opponent has no objective token objectives or you go second and your opponent may choose your one objective without them), but still most games.

Jendon is also not that great without some expensive friends around. The squadron builds to maximize value from the two are very different.
