Yea sloane won't help too much against a Jan Xwing ball under GH. Though we have a guy who is close to a good counter for Rieekan with Imps.

I'm also not a huge believer in Sloane solving Rieekan. She'll certainly help, but it's far from a hard counter.

I mean our writing styles are also pretty distinct for what it's worth ;). I see John capitalizing Weird Words here and There for extra Emphasis (God that was painful to write) and using two spaces after periods and the sound of all my English teachers screaming in unison drives me a little mad...

Eric lives in a world where they don't double space after periods. They probably haven't discovered toilet paper or fire there yet, either!

Also, I've been recommending YT-2400 spam for a while now haha. I just worry that I can't keep doing it to solve ALL my problems. I do think Rogue might have some use fighting against Rieekan somewhat, though. That or hitting him later on, AFTER your ships have been attacked already. My problem with that is that I'm not sure the answer to "Fighters" should just be "more fighters" as then it spirals until we're all at 134 points each.

And your Rebel treachery has gone on long enough! :)

Seriously, though, I'm ready to get back into having large squad support because of massed YTs. They are the bane of a squadron lite fleet. When I see them on the other side (and am running squadron-less or light) I just deflate. I wish Aggressors were better...

Yeah I'm rather puzzled at how it is that Aggressors are 1 speed and 1 hull worse than YTs but only gained Counter 1 in the deal for the same cost. If they'd been speed 4 or hull 6 (my preference would be hull 6 to better differentiate it from the TIEs) and otherwise the same, it would at least feel equivalent to the YT-2400.

You may die on any hill you so choose. The rest of us will bury you on it, and march onwards in the future where all sensibly only use one space.

I mean if she was a hard counter to Rieekan, then everyone would either take Sloane or Rieekan...Which is really the crux of the issue of trying to adjust the game without directly errata-ing old cards, and trying to adjust the game through future upgrades and such like is FFG's standard (which is fine). If they just release this super powerful thing that directly counters Rieekan, then THAT will become ubiquitous in lists to make sure you counter Rieekan, which isn't really a fix.

So yeah, I agree, she's not a hard counter because she shouldn't be.

We're on our second round of CC, and after the first round (in which everyone went pretty squadron heavy), pretty much everyone was like "I'm probably going to go squadron lite for this next round." So first round, this guy rolls in with 2 2400s, Dash, Han, and like 2 Z-95s and I just got sad....

...On the other hand, Maarek, Bossk, and arcs from a Gozanti started putting up hull damage on a Liberty before it finally got an accuracy for the flotilla. Then Maarek and Bossk got absolutely swarmed by Han and Friends....

I will tell you my ONE problem with Jerry. Once you use him, it is VERY difficult to go back to the other commanders. In almost every game without him, there are multiple activations where I think he could have helped me win the game. I think navigation is that important. (Strangely, using Jerry has also make me appreciate Ozzel a bit more. )

I know the feels, Cninj. My problem is, I keep going back to Garm. I have the most Rebel-Success with him.... So I know when the Princess-General hits the Table, she's going to be right there for me.

This is because you aren't hooked up on Motti Raiders ;)

However, this article just made me realize something: Jerry interdictor at speed 1 with ET and Nav dial can essentially execute speed 3 maneuver with double yaw everywhere including ET.

You'd be short one yaw on one joint, but otherwise that's totally doable as by my reading Jerry can be used just the once, so you couldn't use his ability at speed 1 and then again at speed 2 once you've changed your speed.
