I am aware that Vader and Hera are not in the same faction, but let's ask this question early. The way this card reads, it specifically calls out "VPs he would normally gain (rounded down)."

From the official FAQ:

Which would result with Hater-Vader being: 18 points of Vader, minus the 5 points from Driven by Hatred, becoming 6VPs. (18 - 5) / 2 = 6.5 rounded down.

If the all-wise creators are not cognizant of their wording, cases like this could become: 18 points rounded down (9), minus 5 points rounded down (2) becoming 7VPs. All depending on when the truncation occurs.

This means that for any trigger that references Hater-Vader before he is defeated, he is valued at 18.

Hera doesn't look at the deployment card at all when scoring, only what you would get.

When scoring Hater-Vader, he is only 13 points (just like an E-Jet with Targeting Computer is 4 for the first one, 5 for the second)

So Hera would halve the 13 points down to 6 in my opinion, as the 13 is what you would normally score for Hater-Vader

I agree with Majushi. Evacuate calls explicitly for all VP that would be gained from defeating that figure. For example if the opponent has Jabba, the total would also include the 1VP from Nefarious Gains.

So I'm playing against Jabba.

I use evacuate on Fenn (Cost 9).

Jabba would ordinarily gain 10 points from that kill so for Evacuate he'd get 5.

But now I'm not quite that certain anymore.... Because it seems for tiebreaking purposes VP's from Nefarious Gains are not points from defeats, but from an ability. The same might apply to Evacuate, or it might not.

Well, hopefully it will come clear at some point, if anyone actually uses Evacuate.

(Sometimes small things in or missing from wordings have strange consequencies.)

I believe for the purposes of these cards, Vader still has his original cost. The - 5 only applies to scoring.

There is nothing unclear about those cards. They all refer to figure cost, and the skirmish upgrade attachment does not count towards the figure cost.
