I'm not overly fond of mixing politics with my hobbies, but I'll join in for one post. Net neutrality is a good idea if and only if you believe our current network infrastructure and policies are fully mature and no longer subject for advancement. It kills off incentives to improve, and in some cases makes it illegal to do so (at least, under the regulations currently under consideration.) Net neutrality is really price controls on transmission infrastructure, and that runs us into the iron law of economics. Price controls cause shortages. Every time.
Anyway, for me on this board, it'll be back to L5R after this one digression. In the end, I want to be sure people see it's not unanimous that this is a good idea
