I'm betting he's gonna do some bad-a piloting in the Last Jedi (which makes sense considering his ancestry) that is gonna earn him a PS hike like Poe did.

He better. I literally can not stand his PS being lower than Rey's. It is ridiculous.
Somebody who's definitely flown > somebody who never has.
Might just end up a different power and PS when in a small based ship. They've done the 'functionally different pilot when the size changes' before, after all.

When?

Look at your username.
We've known about this ship for a long time. It's Kylo Ren's answer to Vader's TIE Advanced/x1. I expect it to be similar to the Advanced but with tech slots, maybe a faster dial and boost, and probably an extra attack die and shield.

Sabine's ability changed in the Lancer because she changed factions, not because she changed ship size. Her ability is the same in both rebel ships she pilots.
The rules according to an interview with the devs a while back are 'same pilot, same era, same faction = same ability, any change in any one of those = different ability'.

When I made this thread no one in that thread had made mention or proposal for the chassis, titles, pilots, etc. - just fanboy discussion about the ship/model.

Good point. Realistically though it's all a bit ad-hoc, isn't it? First it was same pilot same ability, but then Boba came along. Then it was same pilot and faction, same ability, but then Resistance Han came along... What I'm saying is I see no reason why it might not, at some point in the future, become same pilot, same era, same faction, same ship size... etc.
In conclusion: it's a good thing the Lancer is a Scum ship because, wow, would Sabine's Rebel ability on it be good.

I mean, yes, but.
And the but is that there really isn't another combination that can happen - pilot, ship, and era/subfaction are the only three variables really.
That's not to say they won't change their mind, but as things stand right now, I don't think they will.

Which leads me to my question, is ISYTD going to work on an arc dodger that is already difficult to hit? Makes it a very unattractive target, especially at PS 6, where it most likely get reprisal and trigger ISYTD.
I think ISYTDS is fine in that context. It screws with targetting priority but not by as much as you'd think. I've played arcdodger Kylo in the upsilon a couple of times and he's not all that hot mostly because he's PS6. I can't see them changing his PS unless he does something utterly ridiculous.

Hera also makes a ship size jump and retains her PS and ability.

I'm not so sure Kylo should have a high PS. His whole deal is rage due to his own percieved failure to live up to the achievements of his lineage.
Also not yet canon that kylo has ever flown afaik, whereas it is established (before the awakening) that rey has significant simulator time and she clearly had some experience with the falcon (even if just maintenance) given how much she knew about unkar's mods.
I reckon kylo should be PS7 in a ship like this but I guess it really depends on the content of Ep 8. I will be most dissapointed if we get a reverse Poe style moment where kylo magically blows up a handful of x/a wings in a single turn.
I hope he does something ridiculous and gets bumped to PS4.

There is a collection of short stories that gives back stories for Rey, Finn and Poe. In Rey's it explains that she has a flight training simulator and that she spent years flying training missions in it. She flew all of the simulations so many times that she even hacked it to throw ridiculously unsurvivable scenarios at her to see if she could figure out ways to survive. If we accept that Star Wars era flight training simulators are "realistic" enough, we could conclude that she might very well be an ace pilot without ever having actually flown a real ship.
I think we've seen that a PS 6 ship can survive in this meta. Plus, if this ship is half as good as we want it to be, it's going to be a violent arc-dodger with some meat on its bones. I really don't know if it would be balanced if Kylo could attack first (benefiting from a token-stack arc-dodging) and rely on the threat of ISYTDS to deter would-be attackers.
Personally, I certainly hope the designers get to watch the film before we see the ship in the game. While gameplay trumps canon, why not have both? I would personally prefer a wait for a thematically apropriate ship/pilot skill so we don't get the generic named pilots or lowered pilot skill of Poe.

Oh I know all that. But it wasn't in the movie, so nobody just watching the film, Example: Most people, have any reason to know that.

It's actually a blatant retcon in order to justify her badassness.

Seemingly, you don't know what a retcon is. As Rey has not had a previous backstory, there is nothing that requires a retroactive continuity change, or retcon.
What the novels did in this case, is expand on the characters backstory.
Also the novels that indicate this were written before the movie release, and were released the same day the movie was premiered.

Not a retcon, but yes, basically.
And it's so god **** stupid, I hate it.
Im guessing Interceptor stats with +2 shields and 3 speed S-loops, 4 speed K instead of the existing ones. And 4 straight white instead of green.

Or just fly from point A too point B and then too point D. At this point his skill level should be Zero as he relies tomuch on other people giving him a lift. From the sound to the ship it's probably not a Star Fighter, or a normal one at the least, because of the description of the cockpit.

Sure practicing to fly will help with alot of things... but unless she was flying a YT-1300 simulator all those years, her using said simulator wont help her with cockpit control familiarity or flight characteristics of the Falcon.

I love speculating what these ships will look like on the table - and I always start with the chassis.
I'm thinking a 3-4 dice primary (probably 3), the Interceptor dial, and the hull/shield of a Tie/SF.If it's a small base ship...
3 or 4 / 2 / 3 / 3
Actions: Focus;Evade; Barrel Roll
Target lock? Evade would be too good with my proposed ideas, below...Title:
Kylo's Interceptor
Tie Avenger Only. Title.
TIE Avengers don't look like this ship. It looks to be a JJ Wars TIE Interceptor, if it is a Fighter. It sounds like a hybrid between a Interceptor, Vaders ship, and the Falcon. In fact I bet the controls are nearly the same as the Falcons, that the person that saw the model didn't realize the cockpit was more of a shout out to the Falcon more than it was influenced by a Bomber, both those ships cockpits are very similar.
