Let's Play a Sith Game

By Marinealver, in X-Wing

So here we are going to explore the darkest side of the force. As a sith there are absolutes so when you have something absolutely bad how do you chose wisely?

So which would you rather have in X-wing.

Vong or Jar Jar

I can't chose, they are both horrible.

I'm pretty sure this is what killed Darth Plagus the wise.

Jar Jar Binks

Once per round, you may look at and change your manoeuvre dial if you decide you don't like it.

Can we throw Ewoks out the airlock, err, I mean into the mix?

No that would be Parker Guidary , the first proven cheater (although there was one incident where someone had stacked their damage deck). Any ways the first person to be kicked out of X-wing and the 2nd to make it to FFG's blacklist.

He actually got kicked out now? Last I saw from FFG was just the warming and an auto loss on his next game.

That post was before the final ruling was announced. He got a warning and his next opponent pretty much gets a buy. It has already been discussed in two other threads . Lets keep that over there.

Vong - as entire playable faction

What would I rather? Jar Jar. Easy to ignore a card; hard to ignore an entire faction (plus one is canon and one isn't).

You wouldn't have Jar Jar binks and the Republic playable faction? ;)

I don't know, people had a difficult time ignoring C-3PO and Emperor Palpatine and they were a single card. :P

Jar Jar, butt he's a ghost. You can take him as a crew upgrade and if Darth Vader in in play as a pilot or crew member that ship get's stressed every turn.

I'm not too proud to admit Jar Jar amused 13-year-old me. I outgrew the character, but I would fly a Jar Jar in an X-wing list.

The Vong contradict the first thing the audience learns about The Force. "It's an energy field created by all living things." The Vong might have appeared in the EU, they might officially enjoy Legends status, but as far as I'm concerned the Vong are not Star Wars and have no place except as a lesson in bad storytelling.

Jar Jar as a stress crew is pretty funny.

Easy pick, Jar Jar over the Vong any day. Jar Jar crew: You crashed the opponents Heyblibber, deal one crit.

Jar Jar crew, 2 points, maybe for all factions: After your opponent activated one of his ships, discard this card to immeditly change your dial. Worlds winner, make it happen!

Furthermore, I believe that Michael should be compensated by FFG.

Jar jar:

1 crew slot, 2 points

Once per round you may change one of your dice results.

Once per round your opponent may change one of their dice results.

Jar-Jar. One's stupid and edgy, one's stupid and at least laughable in some form or another.

Is this what Parker Guidry had???

****, that guy was ahead of the game!!!

I'd take Jar Jar crew over the Vong any day.

I'm not particularly fond of Jar Jar, but compared to the typical hater I would classify as a huge fan. The Vong mean nothing to me. So I'd choose a Jar Jar Binks upgrade.

In the film, he starts to panic, and Obi Wan stuns him with the force to calm him down. So maybe he could be discarded to clear all stress. A discard ability would also make him easier to accept for the haters.

Yea, once per round during your turn You may add any number of stress tokens to the ship Jar Jar is equipped to change an equal number of red or green dice at any table adjacent to yours

add if you are not stressed, also make it unique without any faction restrictions like Bo Shek.

He'd be a real hoot at tourneys and large game gatherings. Just like he was in large battles in the movies

Jar-Jar for sure. He at least had some redeeming qualities, unlike the Vong.

If he's part of the package when we get the Republic and CIS as factions, I think its a small price to pay.

Jar Jar as well.

I had a similar idea for his ability, except more random. . .

Once per turn, you ship may reroll 1 die. If you reroll a die, your opponent must also reroll one die during that attack.
