I am new to l5r and will be at gencon this year. From playing the rpg, what I have seen from the card game reveals, talking with friends that are old l5r ccg players, and fan which clan are you postings, I am strong towards the crab clan. Are there any crab clan going to gencon and doing a get together for the clan? I am eager to get to know the crab clan community.

I know they will but I think you need to register early for it to get a ticket. I've never been to fencing but I know someone can point you in the right direction.
The event list comes the 14th and registration starts the 28th, right?
I'll be at GenCon and I'm as Crab as the day is long. To my knowledge there's currently no plan for a Clan Diner.
Yep, that's correct. The issue however is that when registration goes live on the 28th, you're allocated a random place in the queue...along with the other 60,000+ people trying to buy stuff. If you're lucky, you'll be early enough to snag a ticket, but the event will sell out quickly, so keep your fingers crossed!
Have they said how many spots there will be for the tournament? Want to go deep on this game and planning to go mainly for L5R, hoping I won't get locked out if I'm not ready for sign ups right away on the 28th.
We'll know how many spaces there in a week or so, and I think this will be the biggest ever release event FFG have hosted...but it will still sell out very quickly.
It comes down to space allocation - FFG can't just ask for 500 spaces because GenCon doesn't have the space to give to them. Unless FFG decide to hold the event either at an outside location or on multiple days, both of which are problematic, there just won't be enough tickets to go around.
Wonder if there will be a side (Honor) event at all, and if so what its nature would be.
