CC Veteran Tokens and squad/repair command timing

By Xeletor, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

Am I doing this right?

A command 1 ship with a squadron token that is veteran can:

Reveal its dial

Use the squad token (immediately after dial reveal)

Use veteran token to gain any other token (also immediately after dial reveal so I pick the order)

This works with engineering too. Not with concentrate fire or nav tokens since those tokens are spent later and the new token gained from the veteran token would force you to discard the nav/cf token after dial reveal.

A friend wants to use a veteran raider with expanded hangar as a carrier and this would give it 3 squadron activations in a critical turn and still allow it to ozzel around.

I don't have the rules around but if veteran token works after revealing the dial I would say yes.

BUT

He can only activate 3 if he has an hangar bay. Cause he cannot reveal a squadrons command spend it with the squadron token and then take a squadron token and spend it as it would be a new command and the same command cannot be resolve twice. But if he takes a navigate token with veteran effect I think yes.

IF

Veteran works when or while definitely you cannot do what you said.

Just checked, veteran is while. So it's not possible. Thanks!
