The issue came up this afternoon:

Mothma-controlled MC30 defends against Demo with OE+APT form close range with Lando on board. Demo rolls Blank, Hit, Hit, Hit/Crit. We played it like this:

- MC30 uses Evade to reroll the Hit/Crit to blank.

- Demo uses OE to to reorll the blanks, rolls Blank + Hit/Crit

- MC30 uses Lando to reroll the Hit/Crit to Hit.

Conclusion: MC30 suffers 3 damage and with no black crit in the end, no APT.

But is this the correct order to play? I'm not sure Evade comes before OE and that it is possible to re-reroll either with Lando or with an Evade that once was already rerolled...

Doesnt the attacker apply all their dice modification first and then the defender applies defence tokens etc?

OE is an attack effect that takes place during the "Resolve attack effects step".

Then comes the "Spend defense tokens step", during which the defender can, in any order:

-use tokens such as Evade

-use Lando Calrissian (as per the timing indicated on that card)

But at that point the opportunity to use Vader, OE, etc is already gone.

The steps are this:

1 . Declare Target
2 . Roll Attack Dice
3. Resolve Attack Effects (here applies Ordnance Experts)
4 . Spend Defense Tokens (here applies the Evade defense token and Lando)
5 . Resolve Damage

Is it ok if I keep posting this in every relevant question? We use it a lot.

This still doesn't answers when to use Lando.

Lando is used during the "Spend Defense Token" step, as it says on the card.
