I like the idea of limiting the alliance to own faction specific traits. However in this quote you're killing potential Imperial Hunters lists based on something like:

2x eWeequay
Temp Alliance
Zillo Technique
+9 unspent points for customization

...I think that was the point, to make eWeequays a little less ubiquitous.

They only cost 1 point more than the eQuays? No one runs the elites they are terrible.

Are you kidding me? You can compare rHK with eQuays attribute by attribute and understand eQuays are better. There's only one reason you may want HK in a list: the Droid trait.

I wasn't saying they were better or worse. I was saying that it only costs 1 point more for the HKs. Obviously the eQuays are better though that's not even really worth debating.

Reason 2: Your list already includes 2 sets of eWeequays and you want more snipers ...

Reason 3: You have Jabba's Realm only once, your list already includes 1 set of eWeequays and you want more snipers ...

I can usually manage to get a borrowed copy of eWeequays pretty easily where I play. Anyway outside tournament we allow such a list even if the player doesn't have the deployment card, we don't care about pay-per-win tournament rules.

Agreed. But most tourneys that you worry about enough to bring 2 x eQuays aren't going to allow proxies(thinking regionals and up)
