Is there a reason the article calls it the "Ahsoka Tano Villain Pack?"

Because these early articles are all mockups, not actual production. They made a cut'n'paste error, it's pretty common in these.
And what are those new simbols?
Those special dmg and defense lookalikes i Jean.
Or IT is just new for me?

They explain them in the fine print of the big box expansion article. Basically the symbols are all tokens that your figure can store and then spend later. So if you gain one of the new damage tokens then you can spend it later on one of your attacks to add a damage, if you gain one of the new block tokens you can spend it later while defending to add a block, etc.

Thank you!
Really cool that he responded, even cooler that you burned him so good
Like I predicted more than a year ago... Emperor Palpatine is going to be released. Im pleased.
My work here is done.
Edited by KentaresYou know what: I'm actually happy. After Obi-Wan's release I (and I suspect pretty much everyone else who didn't want to see Palpatine in the game) resigned myself to the fact that it was coming but the fact that they've gone to Imperial Coruscant for the next expansion rather than continuing the trend of following the movies dogmatically is a huge relief and makes up for the disappointment.
On the cards themselves: I think they're all really cool design and flavor wise. I get a particular kick out of their Ahsoka emphasizing mobility like mine did and Maul's fueled by hatred. Palpatine's abilities a cool but I'd rather tempt couldn't kill figures for both flavor and balance (I'd like "choose a figure, if the number of damage tokens on that figure is at least 2 less than that figure's health...").
So Palpatine can use his "Emperor" ability to attack using enemy models? Super brutal if so.

No, it would say "perform an attack with that figure." He could give an enemy figure an attack but they'd probably just shoot him in the face.

Touche. Good point, well made.
Palpatine did have the ability to 'possess' enemy troops in the PC game, Empire at War . The ability was called 'Force Corrupt' - the 'possessed' units effectively defected to your side, although they gradually suffered damage until they died.

Seems like you could use him in a campaign to have a Rebel figure destroy a door or object in order to trigger an event at an inopportune time like at the end of a round.
So Ahsoka can leap for 6 and move for 6. There needs to be a skirmish upgrade that awards VP for every lap of the map Ahsoka completes without being defeated.

That looks possible in theory but exceptionally rare in practice, there's nothing that suggests that you choose the target for the attack so this would only happen when Palpatine can trigger the ability on a rebel figure that can only target the object.
If the door or object is the only valid target, the rebel figure would need to attack it. It would need careful positioning though, which is the hard part.
The Emperor ability does not use the word may so it is a forced attack (no pun intended) where if you use it on an opponents model within 4 they have to attack, this makes Palp quite interesting from a positioning point of view, if your opponent has to attack but has no legal choices except their own units (e.g a melee attack or if palp has managed to trigger this whilst out of LOS on a ranged figure). It won't always be a tactic but will make your opponents be more careful with placement when Palp is near.
Edited by Pigeon Von SmytheAttacks must target a hostile figure, so Palpatine can't make you attack another of your own figures
