Objectives for a Knife Fight

So I tried out an MC80+Engine Tech with a group of CR90B+SW7 buddies... and surprisingly really liked it. Madine really makes a list like this dance! But I'm not sure what objectives to take. List is below - looking for advice. Key is using Raymus with squad commands but changing the token to Nav using Ashoka to trigger ET.

Some ideas I have are dropping Toryn for a bid, or swapping out the aces for generic A-wings in order to upgrade to an assault cruiser with RBD. Maybe I should swap an Ewing for a VCX and consider some token objectives?

Madine whilst planning to use squad dials? Actually the single token should do a lot with Madine.

You could arguably get away without sw7 on the non toryn farr cr90s...

Objectives. Blockade Run? Maybe Most wanted.

Capture the vip. Like contested outpost but mobile

Solar Corona instead maybe. You havent got a lot of bombers for superior positions.

Hmm I like dropping some SW7's for points since Toryn is in there...

What's your thinking on Blockade Run? Seems like the rotated game mat would funnel my squishy corvettes closer to a bomber ball or enemy death pickle / Christmas tree ISD...

Have you played blockade run? They still cant block your path on the narrower side. You have madine!

Maybe as ginkapo said blockade run or open omg salvo as you have 4 ships that can fire, capture the vip and blue one maybe savage run as you have fast ships?

Hrmmm...

What do you guys think of this? One fewer CR90 but no janky Ashoka business...

So I played two games with variants of this list. One with the Assault cruiser and Madine, and one with the Command cruiser and Rieekan.

I'm still tweaking it but basically have concluded that the command cruiser doesn't pack the punch needed, and mixing the squad commands with navs is a waste. Getting two clicks on each joint plus engine techs is just really really good.

As far as objectives I played one Capture the VIP (without strategic) and it was a disaster. I flew poorly but also the inability to move that VIP token meant it was obvious where I was headed from turn 1. Second game was Salvage Run with a strategic squadron and it went much better. Free Nav tokens turn one for all your ships is huge with Madine!

...So here is the revised list. If I am second player I think the objectives put the first player in a pretty bad spot - either take advanced gunnery or give me 80+ points with the strategic squad plus FCT. The chart officer is basically a guaranteed +1 hull with my crappy flying... in both games I found myself thinking "I guess hitting an asteroid is better than staying in this ISD front arc".

Other thoughts include switching to TRC90's. I'd have to drop Madine for Dodonna, and ditch Jan to afford that though.
