In the late 90's my friends and I were hooked on the Star Wars CCG game from Decipher. They literally made a card for every extra in the movies and everything! Decipher is no more, but is there a replacment Star Wars card game that does the same thing?

Define "same thing"?

like all kinds of character, alien, droid cards from all the movies. Like every background thing having their own card. Also splitting it up into categories like weapons, interrupts, planets, droids, ships, vehicles, etc

I too played Decipher's games. Loved them in my youth, but I've sworn off that kind of deck building game. The Star Wars card games from FFG are the only ones licensed right now. I don't know how they compare to Star Wars CCG. Frankly I don't care. You're more likely to find what you're looking for there than in an X-wing miniatures forum.
