Guri - Mindlink, plasma torps

Rau - Mindlink, plasma tops

Cobra - Mindlink, engine upgrade

Thought process is stay away until the last possible moment and then strike hard and fast on a single ship hopefully destroying it before it gets a chance to return fire, hopefully arc dodging with barrel rolls and boost actions

Any and all feedback is appreciated even if you think the list is pants lol

I like the three ships together!!! adjust upgrades. No ordinance needed IMHO. Title and thrusters on Guri and Rau with Fcs also on guri and then vectored thrusters on Cobra instead. I think it fits that way.

While vectored thrusters on Talon are not bad, its usually not enough to make that Range 1 dive effective. Much better would be Cloaking Device:

Fenn w/ Mindlink, title & thrusters = 32

Talonbane w/ mindlink & cloaking device = 31

Guri w/ mindlink & thrusters = 33

The reason the cloaking device is superior is because you now have two ways to make that range 1 dive: you can either decloak forward and reveal a straight move, or you can decloak to the side and 3 bank in. This may or may not give your opponent greater difficulty in deciding how to set his dials...

With the 4 points left over, you have 2 options, really:

1) put Virago + FCS on Guri and you have a 1 point initiative bid.

2) put Stygium Particle Accelerator on Talonbane and a 2 point initiative bid.

Option 1 is more offense-oriented, and therefore leaves your list vulnerable in certain matchups

Option 2 is the safer bet, and also preferrable if you see a lot of other players using PS 9 pilots because that bid becomes more worthwhile.

Regardless of what you choose, the entire list idea is a bit of a 'one-trick-pony'. Once opponents figure out how to counter it with good maneuver selection, you will find the list performs less successfully. Although you can create some uncertainty for your opponent by having Guri flank or act as bait. Fenn can also make good bait, but then you risk losing his firepower early on...

Cheers for the input blade, will take both setups tonight and fly both, my games group is extremely chill and hardly anyone brings meta lists so it's all a laugh and random stuff thrown together

I just ran this list today for a quick lunch game with a co-worker:

The only reason I didn't take thrusters is because no one in my work group usually flies turrets (for now). This seriously hit like a truck, I only lost Cobra in what turned into a very quick fight. I really like Rau as well, he is not only quick but once you get him in range he was eating T-70s like a pro. Thanks for posting the idea for this!

So played 3 with thrusters won 2 and lost 1, beat bro bots and miranda and norra, followed by a loss to the latter

Bro bots was easy to dispatch with arc dodge available and cobra/rau hit like a truck at range 1

Rebel list was more difficult and I lost cobra early both games but an amazing move from miranda destroyed me in the second game with cluster mines

Guri is def the weak link, I may replace her with old teroch, 2 more ps and strip target of tokens

So I've changed the list to

Rau - mindlink, title, auto thrusters

Cobra - Mindlink, vectored thrusters

Zuckuss - mindlink, title, tractor beam, fcs and dengar

Hoping zuckuss has better chance of surviving then guri and a tractor beam lowering agility could be huge with rau and cobra following up

Thoughts would be appreciated

As for Zuckus I usually take a quadjumper for that reason, they lower agility easily, allow repositioning and can bomb + plus their relatively cheap. Maybe chuck in a Quad and a Z-95 or something similar like a scyk:

Unkar gives good control and N'Dru is throwing three dice so he's on par with the damage curve, combined they give you more survivability than Zuckuss and more firepower. The Quadjumper gives you control and lowers the agility value of opposing ships for a damage boost. I think it's a decent change but one that depends on play style (though as my name suggests I am biased :P )

My next purchase is a quad as I'm scum exclusive so will def run that when I have it, like the idea of 4 ships as most guys in my weekly group run 2 rebel ships or tie swarms

Yeah the presidency seems to be 2-3 ship lists (at least in my meta). I flew my 4x Quad + Old Teroch against a 4 imperial list and killed one turn two before angling one to fly off the board in the same turn. I love the little tugs and try t fit them wherever I can. Also Boshek is my go to crew for all bumpers, from Oicun to Heff. You'll enjoy the purchase :)
