I have no idea what I'm doing with Quadjumpers

(100)

Constable Zuvio (28) - Quadjumper
Trick Shot (0), Bombardier (1), Ion Bombs (2), Primed Thrusters (1), Black Market Slicer Tools (1), Engine Upgrade (4)

Unkar Plutt (23) - Quadjumper
Ketsu Onyo (1), Weapons Guidance (2), Black Market Slicer Tools (1), Spacetug Tractor Array (2)

Asajj Ventress (49) - Lancer-class Pursuit Craft
Veteran Instincts (1), K4 Security Droid (3), Rigged Cargo Chute (1), Glitterstim (2), Shadow Caster (3), Gyroscopic Targeting (2)

I was looking at a few options for Quadjumpers, and thought this could be fun. Reveal a reverse 1 straight with Zuvio, drop an ion bomb up 2 spaces, move back, then boost forward. You basically throw an ion bomb 2 forward from where you started. Unkar is just there for fun, and Asajj is there to be a big target. Again, I have no idea what I'm doing with these things. It's like they could be a little bit of everything.

Looks like fun.

I'm really new to Quadjumpers as well, and haven't figured out their role yet, but I like what you're doing. BMST on them makes a lot of sense paired up with Asajj. The Zuvio build looks like a blast.

What's the overall battle-plan? Quadjumpers are really slow, and Asajj is really fast. Zuvio has a chance to fly with Asajj thanks to EU, but he's fairly fragile with two green dice--you may want to save your action for a focus. I feel like Plutt is going to get left behind. Have you thought about running the QJs with a slower ship? I'm going to be testing out a Bossk/Quad list soon, and have hopes that it will perform.

Let us know how this flies.

Not sure what the game plan would be. Depends on the opposition and how quick they can move.

The Quads could keep up if I move them vertically and keep Asajj horizontal for a bit. Being it into the fight later.

The only other large base scum ship I have is the FireSpray, which might could work with this list if I load it up with bombs.

Running them with Kath could be fun. You could intentionally run her ahead, straight into the enemy, letting the Quads tag behind. Then, when the enemy passes, they are caught between Kath's rear arch and the Quads. From there you can tractor beam to line up your shot, and drop bombs in the little kill-box you made. That could be a real blast.

I've been having loads of fun and unexpected success with quadjumpers using the following list:

2x Jakku Gunrunner (15), Intelligence Agent (1), Spacetug Tractor Array (2), Pattern Analyser (2)

20 points total per ship

Fenn Rau (28), Concord Dawn Protector (1), Fearlessness (1), Hull Upgrade (3)

33 points total

Concord Dawn Veteran (22), Concord Dawn Protector (1), Fearlessness (1), Hull Upgrade (3)

27 points total

I've also run it a few times with Stealth Device instead of Hull Upgrade with similar results.

Basically, the QJs charge forward with the CDPs on follow then as they close to range 1 they cause havoc with the TBs whilst the CDPs cause high damage to the enemy. Then use the PAs to reverse move your QJs and continue to TB whilst the CDPs turn on the enemy and take a few shots from behind before the enemy turns to face you.

In one match against a TIE Swarm, I managed to use the IAs to effectively cause 2 elites to fly off the map after boosting them into a bad place :)

In my opinion, quadjumpers are great little ships and I hope you have fun with them.

So, I read through the rulings on Scavenger Crane. It wasn't one I ever really understood. As fun as the red reverse one and boost would be, I think Scavenger Crane works much better with Zuvio. But probably on a list that includes some Z95 pirates.
