Shadow Fangs

By NABLA_OPERATOR, in X-Wing Squad Lists

Hi,

I am thinking about what list I want to play in the store championship season.

I want to play Attani, I want to play Fenn Rau and I want to play Asajj. However, I am not sure about whether Parattani is the list to go.

Therefore I created this list:

Fenn Rau (28)
Attanni Mindlink (1)
Autothrusters (2)
Concord Dawn Protector (1)

Old Teroch (26)
Attanni Mindlink (1)
Autothrusters (2)
Concord Dawn Protector (1)

Asajj Ventress (37)
Attanni Mindlink (1)

Total: 100

I like idea to have of course the Attani action economy, the stress control with Asajj, the toke strip with Teroch as well as 5 dice attacks of Fenn.

The critical point about the list is obviously the lack of Latts. Do you think it is worth it or would you even swap ATs for her? Or the titles? Would you drop Old Teroch for a Concord Dawn Ace?

Would you prefer Old Fennaroo or classical Parattani (or even a tweaked version of it, with a scout instead of Manaroo) over this list?

Latts Razzi surely makes Asajj much more resilient. That said, you may be able to get by without that crew in this list since you've got more firepower that traditional Parattani: if you can take opponents out quickly enough, Asajj may not need to endure as long.

I have been toying with the idea of playing Asajj without Latts because those couple of points plus the crew slot are really valuable. I have come to the conclusion that the meta somewhat calls for Latts so I have decided to stick with her for awhile. The meta Im talking about is mainly the Stresshog (becoming quite popular again) for rebels and mindlink lists in general for Scum. Latts is possibly generating more than one evade per turn in those situations (Asajj stresses all the mindlink ships if she gets her ability off) so you get great returns on Latts.

I know you want to play Fenn but depending on the C-Rok dropping im REALLY tempted to run Genesis Red alongside Teroch.

Genesis Red

  • Attani Mindlink
  • Heavy Scyk
  • Mangler Cannon

He's 26 points and alongside Teroch is brutal. Target Lock an opponent thats at R1 of Teroch and copies their focus/evade tokens. Focus kicks in for Mindlink depending on whats gone before, then Teroch removes their tokens. Means you let his Target Lock act almost like a PTL for himself, then you are free to use other actions with the other ships and you have a couple of points spare for crew.
