Are the first set of expansions going to be enough to go to 200?

You can't put Deathcallers in with Reanimate Archers, they lack the proper upgrade icon (I'm still working on remembering what they're called). Reanimates are the only Waiqar unit that can take them for now.

Good catch. I just looked at my card again and I thought tha the banner upgrade icon was the figure upgrade icon.

Then add in the Bull Pennon, Shield Wall, and Trumpets to go up 10 points.

A fun unit I've been tinkering with is a 3*2 reanimate archers with master crafted weapons and combat ingenuity. I cant quite figure our whether the "master crafted weapons" upgrade counts as an "ability" for the purpose of the combat ingenuity card (all surge abilities cost one less).

If it does though, you get a unit of archers that can do some serious damage. Each surge is another three damage!

With re-rolls you have a pretty decent chance of doing 12 damage in a volley. You can pretty much count on 6-12 :)

I'm definitely getting at least one archers expansion :)

It's an ability so should work with Combay Ingenuity.

RRG, pg. 6:

"Abilities are game effects found on unit cards and upgrade cards."

Mastercrafted Weapons only works on melee attacks though.

So true... heh, I knew it was looking like way too much fun. Every "ooooh THIS should be great!" Moment I've had so far with the game has been quickly followed by the realisation that "... buuuut it's not alllowed" :-P.

God forbid the archers become an actually useful unit :-P (sarcasm, obvs)

It's like in xwing, whenever you build the perfect list.... 102 points. every single time.

Ah well, at least there's always Tempered Steel to fall back on although Combat Ingenuity is not helping with it and it does exhaust...

Yeah... another three damage off a 60 point unit isn't really a thing of parades and fanfares... :-S

though I guess 9 damage, which is possible but nowhere near a consistent thing, isn't to be discounted entirely :-)
