I also doubt that anyone leaving X-wing will jump straight to Armada. They're very different games in very different styles. I've seen plenty express passing interest (as one of only a couple in my area that plays both, I get a fair few questions) but little else beyond that.

I can pretty much guarantee you they won't leave X-wing and jump on Destiny. X-wing players rage at dice so often that an entire game based around them is both horrifying and infuriating as a concept alone.

I was an avid X-wing player (casual and tournament) and I left the game after seeing the balance issues spinning out of control.

I then jumped straight into Armada and have loved it.

I am in a similar boat, although I still play X-Wing and would play more if my schedule permited, my son plays X-Wing but not Armada so it is nice when we can both play. I would play Armada more if I could get the games. I love both games, both are similar but worlds apart; I like that both offer different game play of SW. After seeing the make up of this years Worlds, I hope FFG is not setting up Armada for the same rabbit hole they have X-Wing in currently.

Of our local X-Wing group, Destiny is the game that the most have as a second game. I think since several are in for under $50 and it is a fast game that has drawn several of them.
