Where is everyone getting their battlefield scenery from, especially turbolaser cannon towers.
Best Fixed Emplacements
Well I personally really like these
Flat 3D printed turbolaser emplacements made for HotAC
, but I may be just a little biased... (I designed them).
I have have also seen taller 3D printed towers as well as paper-crafted towers, though I can't speak to their quality since I've never used them.

Battlefield in a Box does some Turbolasers:

If you want turrets but aren't worried about them being on [different height] towers, I got a set of CombatZone Scenery's Asteroid Base upgrade:
...as a bonus, you also get a couple of escape pods
oops

And the also have space station play mats!!
I do like the Combatzone Scenery ones.
If you are wanting something on the cheap, I use these paper turrets. You can print on card stock or glue to cardboard after printing. You can use coffee stirrers for barrels. I didn't due to wanting to stack them for storage.
On a slight aside, does anyone know the diameter of the Hoth ion cannon? I wouldn't mind scratch-building one if it's football size, urm soccer/bball, but I have a nasty feeling it's bigger, much bigger.
Thanks

The thing I really hate about those 3D printed emplacements is how they make me want to buy a 3D printer.
This topic gave me a thought: has anyone tried making some emplacements/turrets out of LEGOs? Feel like I recall having some swivel pieces that would work well for the turret barrels and seems like you could make the structures about X-Wing minis size.
I doubt I have enough grey LEGOs but I think it's time I dug the old bins out of storage this weekend....

If you figure it out, let us know how!
