Can Chopper's "Ram" action be used to push friendly models?
"Move up to 2 spaces, then choose an adjacent figure. If that figure is hostile, roll 1 green die. It suffers * equal to the * results. Then, if that figure was small, push it up to one space."

Chopper's Bump and Grind
Yes, no question. Ram can choose any adjacent figure, also large, but of course rebels do not have large figures. Only a hostile figure suffers the damage, and only a small figure is pushed (whether hostile or friendly).

We sure? There is a clear "IF - THEN" statement in there. Logic being what it is you could argue the "IF" part of the state refers to hostile, but at that point, the "THEN" part of the statement is wholly unnecessary. Of course, I can read this card both ways, and THEMATICALLY, it makes sense for C1-10P to Ram allies, he does it in the show all the **** time.
(I could be wrong here, I just want to toss it out there.)
Edited by FizzI'm pretty certain that it is the intent to be able to Ram friendly figures, and the whole ability would be a bit shorter otherwise. The hostile requirement would be included in the choose part of the ability.
What do you mean by if-then? Then is not part of a if-then syntax of a programming language, it is indicating a sequence.
The parts of the ability are separated into sentences. Both "if the figure is" refer to the same chosen figure.

IF - THEN is used as a proof in mathematics (represented as A -> B) and programmatically in scripting. IF (condition exists) THEN (perform actions).
Like I said above, depending on what your background is, I can totally see why people can see this both ways. (Even I see it both ways).

Why would you be able to choose a friendly figure if any part of the ability would not apply to a friendly figure?
A = Choose an adjacent figure
IF hostile(A) THEN roll 1 green die, apply damage to A.
IF small(A) THEN push A up to 1 space.

You do make the best point that it does call out *IF* the target is hostile *after* the targeting, which is just adjacent figure, not adjacent hostile figure.
After reading, they use "Then, If" language instead of "If, Then" which invalidates my argument. (Since they are using THEN to break up commands, instead of linking them to conditionals)
╔►Ram
Move (optional)
THEN target (friendly/hostile)
IF (Hostile) suffer damage
THEN, IF (small), push (optional).
I gotta stop reading the boards at work.
I'm not sure about the move. Can I use this to move 2 and then because the droid is not adjacent to anyone, just drop the rest of the ability?
Yes. Any and each part of an ability that cannot be performed doesn't get performed.
