As a newer player I've been trying to buy some Y-Wings for my fleet, but it seems they are out of print?? I've found a couple for $80 but that's crazy.
Are the Y-Wings gone?

No, they are just out of stock. This happens all the time because the game is so popular FFG can't keep up with demand (it used to be a lot worse).
Just be patient and they will get reprinted eventually.

Back a couple of years ago, when the original core set was awaiting reprint, some guy was offering a new, still wrapped core set for $5,000 on Ebay! This was with the $80 to $150 other NIB offers.
Have some patience. They'll be back.

You've already heard but the answer is No.
While there may be a temporary supply shortage which some try to capitalize on with OUTRAGEOUS prices all indications are that FFG will print out more which will also include errata/most current versions of any cards in that expansion. If you're someone who needed stuff yesterday then you could easily pay too much for it but if you are patient at the very least you should be able find it for MSRP. I'm not sure if there is enough patience to ever find new ships at the price points we could find for a long time after the game came out; new sales model doesn't do so well for sale prices.
So how long does it take to get them back on shelves cause I want to get my hands on a tie advanced and some a-wings but i just can't find them!
Sometimes it can be a couple of months. Try some online sources as well as your local store. And keep checking FFG's site as they frequently update the product listings with each expansion's status.
Have patience, young Padawan. They will return eventually.
I bet you could trade some K-wings for some....

If you just want the ship add "no upgrades" to your eBay search.
You'll still get pilots and tokens.
