Where is the Heroes of the Empire pack?

Not just because. Because scum needs it, and because rebel and imperial have gotten a bunch of stuff when scum hasn't, so it's scum's turn. Scum released in early 2015. Since then, Imps have gotten 2 epic ships and rebel and imperial have both gotten aces packs. Scum hsa gotten...just it's wave releases. It's got one epic coming, but it's still short a second epic and some aces.

Even ignoring out-of-wave releases, scum has the least ships of any faction. As of wave 11, Rebels will have 14 small ship and 4 large ships available, for 18 ships total (17 if you pack the attack shuttle with the ghost, 16 if you ignore the havoc). Imperials will have 12 small ships and 4 large ships for 16 total. Scum will have 10 small ships and 5 large for 15 total. Add in 2 aces packs each for rebel an dimperial and scum is even FURTHER behind for pilots as it is for ships.

Maybe if we actually had other ships that weren't terrible and overpriced you'd see more than 3 different scum ships...

I have a feeling that we won't see any first order aces packs until we get more first order ships that need a boost (figuratively, not literally). As it stands they're all doing pretty well.

The T-70 and the Falcon got the aces treatment because they kind of HAD to. This was due to the fact that they released the Force Awakens core set with inadequate knowledge of the film.

Personally I agree with the other posters who are saying that Scum really deserves the next aces pack to get more of their small base ships in the competitive scene (khiraxz and Starviper specifically).

I would personally be fine with FFG just releasing ace packs a couple of times a year for existing ships and then only doing one 'wave' of new ships a year around Christmas to coincide with movie releases (or last year's movie release).

It does look like they plan on releasing IX in the summer of 2019. FWIW.

They're no longer officially accepted canon. They haven't been wiped from existence.

All those books and games still exist in the real world and will continue to do so as long as any other Star Wars material does.

So we had Imp Aces, then Reb aces.

Then the rebel transport with an alt X-Wing and the Raider with the Tie/x1 Advanced.

Then we had Imp Vets, the Gonzati with more Ties and then Heroes of Resistance.

So even with the Epic scum coming with new Scyks, I believe we are overdue for some scum aces. Probably with new stuff for Starvipers and Khiraxz, but don't count out the Z-95 or HWK with new pilots and a turret or a missile as possibilities.

Not only fixed ships, but also heeps of new pilots on Kihraxz, Starviper, Ywing and Hwk. Pretty much all of the unplayed ships need new pilots.

We(Scums players) lack on aces BIG time.. Need one exclusive pack "Villains of Outer rim" filled with goodies.

It's all about quality over quantity. Scum ships are better than their imperial/rebel equivalents. Compare the named z-95/y-wing/headhunter/hwk pilots vs their rebel equivalents, their Firespray pilots vs imperial ones. Compare the Fang vs the Interceptor, the Khiraxzxzxzxzxzxz vs the t-65 and so on.

The Z95s and HWKs are 1 ps lower for the same cost, and gain an illicit slot. That slot being available doesn't help if you don't use it. The y-wing just trades astromech types. That one's a wash, got some better offense ones for scum, but stressbot for rebel. Firesprays have better abilities for scum. Kihraxz is worse than the T65. StarViper is massively overcosted.

The illicit slot is a massive boost, and I don't think there is any doubt that the scum y-wing swarm is better than the rebel one. The Kihraxz is better than the t-65 as it's cheaper with a better dial. The hwk pilot abilities of the scum are brilliant.

But shall we look at the large ships Scum has? Yv- awesome. Cheap, brilliant spike damage potential. Jumpmaster - can do literally everything better than any other ship in the game. Cheap, brokenly good dial, unlimited upgrade options, can fly in circles around Dash. had three nerfs and still breaks the game. Shadowcaster? Cheap as hell, ludicrous pilot abilities. Great dial. All three have pretty much killed acewing!

thats before we start thinking about the fact that you can almost field both named protectorates for the price of a tooled up corran who is nowhere near as good. Though you list plenty of rebel ships every single good list has to take either Biggs or Miranda to compete. Top tier scum lists can take any of the three you name and still work, so from build flexibility Scum win.

The illicit are handy *if you use them*. How many z95s have you seen in competitive scum lists? I've not been seeing any. The hwk abilities are good, but still somewhat limited by the platform. And again, how often do you see em? The kihraxz is cheaper for a worse ship. Onastromech slot, less shields, and less health (due to integrted astromech). Dial is different, not better. So many times I've wished for that one straight...

YV is decent, but lost its strongest build to the zuckuss nerf.

Already pointed out that jumpmaster and shadow caster are good. And protectorate. That's still only 3 ships that arenflyable

List juggler begs to differ. So many blank statement not based on actual facts... The best Imperial archetype is now in 11th position. Triple defenders went from the 3rd to the 14th position. The best Palp built is in 26th position. People were saying that it would just take some time for imperials to adjust, that the changes were not that bad. They just keep dropping since the nerf.

I stoped to care, just bought myself some scum ships and i'm back at being competitive while waiting for my main faction to get a much needed fix. Im not sure the Tie Aggressor alone will be enough. Waiting to see what upgrades come out from the wave. That bomb in a system slot could be promising...

With the new Battlefront 2 approaching, withe focus on a new type of imperial (special forces tie-pilot) do you think the characters in there could be introduced? I could easily see them as new elite pilots and crew/team for both small/large and epic.

Based on what I'm seeing on the list juggler graphs, even though Imperial lists may make up less of the cut, they still make up a similar percentage of lists played. (33.6% of lists in Feb, 32.2% in March, and 31.5 in April.) If anything, what I'm seeing is that Rebels have picked up most of the ground on lists making the cut versus the Imperial lists that did not.

The FAQ came out near the end of March. So is 5-6 weeks time enough to really determine where the meta is headed or what is coming?

I think what many scum players forget is the list of ships that were upgraded/rereleased in ace packs and epic ships:
