But shall we look at the large ships Scum has? Yv- awesome. Cheap, brilliant spike damage potential. Jumpmaster - can do literally everything better than any other ship in the game. Cheap, brokenly good dial, unlimited upgrade options, can fly in circles around Dash. had three nerfs and still breaks the game. Shadowcaster? Cheap as hell, ludicrous pilot abilities. Great dial. All three have pretty much killed acewing!
thats before we start thinking about the fact that you can almost field both named protectorates for the price of a tooled up corran who is nowhere near as good. Though you list plenty of rebel ships every single good list has to take either Biggs or Miranda to compete. Top tier scum lists can take any of the three you name and still work, so from build flexibility Scum win.

Scum have been getting the new-baby-in-the-house treatment and they don't need any help currently. Sure, a fix for the starviper and the krax would be nice, but the rebels desperately need something that allows them to run something other than Biggs and a y-wing with R3-A2 and the Imperials need a boost for their older unloved ships.
