Imperial 100 pts

Hi guys just wondering if someone could let me know how my build is? I'm pretty new to this so anything will help thank you!

Tie phantom - whisper

-veteran instincts, fire control system, gunner, adv. Cloaking device.

Tie interceptor- soontir fel

-push the limit

Tie fighter F/O

-push the limit, coms relay

Let me know what you think! Thanks!

Couple wisdoms of ten forum for you, a good Omega leader is Juke and Comm relay for some high damage and defence and for Soontir PTL and Autothrusters are essential for an effective arc dodger, at least in my experience.

Gunner is an expensive choice for Whisper as usually he can punch the damage through so that's a costly upgrade where u could upgrade that FO to Omega leader once you swap PTL for Juke and comm relay which leaves you with an evade every turn and no stress. It is less versatile though. Whispers ability means you can save points on FCS as it's less needed. I personally think that the crew slot on the phantom is a waste regardless of what you put on it but the best use I've found is rebel captive as it gives even more incentive to avoid shooting him or LWF is an option to mitigate being uncloaked. Maybe something like this:

"Whisper" — TIE Phantom 32
Veteran Instincts 1
Sensor Jammer 4
Rebel Captive 3
Lightweight Frame 2
Ship Total: 42
Soontir Fel — TIE Interceptor 27
Push the Limit 3
Autothrusters 2
Ship Total: 32
"Omega Leader" — TIE/fo Fighter 21
Juke 2
Comm Relay 3
Ship Total: 26

Each ship hits hard and dodges like it's got hell on its heels. Soontir arc dodges, while Omega evades turn one and target locks the ship you plan to focus when he can, meaning they can't spend tokens. Whisper cancels one hit every time he's shot and cloaked or uncloaked he has three-four evade dice meaning that that damage comes all mother more often, whisper is also the one that the opponent wants to target however their highest PS gets stressed and even with three successful hits gets one cancelled, one evaded and then three-four dice to cancel the last hit. Pretty insane mitigation. Hope this helps ;)

Good points raised by @Quadjumper King , as of my take on it i love kallus on whisper and i feel that with fire control system damage consistency increase by a huge margin. The thing is that kallus alone turns lists like the ghost gaining so much popularity off since you get a modifier for every roll, it also helps saving against TLT.

Another point is really that i dont know if soontir with just one modification is better than the inquisitor. So i have made a similar list tou give you options. You can of course take it or hate it :P

"Whisper" (32)
Veteran Instincts (1)
Fire-Control System (2)
Agent Kallus (2)
Advanced Cloaking Device (4)

"Omega Leader" (21)
Juke (2)
Comm Relay (3)

The Inquisitor (25)
Push the Limit (3)
Autothrusters (2)
TIE/v1 (1)

Total: 98

This list still have 2 spare points i left for an initiative bid, that way you can get whisper to shoot first in ps9 battles.

The inquisitor is an excellent choice as is Agent Kallus, fine advice given by @cdr . However I just assumed that not only did @voidshadoh1 want to fly soontir but that he didn't have alternates in his collection, just in case he couldn't field certain ships its easier to bring a printed list of cards you don't have than ships you don't, so I just figured that shadoh had some purpose in mind or affinity for Soontir in his meta that made it a better choice. :P with the inquisitor with his title he gets a TL and Evade before even using the PTL so he's a pretty awesome choice with great action economy and I've used him as an alpha striker once or twice for that reason. Definitely consider the change if you don't mind the freedom of the first two actions you get with Soontir, he's far tougher than Soontir in most scenarios. ;)

Exactly what i thought, that he wanted or didnt have not much than soontir. So in that position i would definitely go with your take. I was just giving an alternative to may be move on next or try.

Hey guys thanks this sounds really good! I do have a tie adv prototype so I'll try that! I just seen a lot of people run fel so I thought I would to but I don't mind being different haha oh How does biding for initiative work?

People used Soontir Fel a lot a couple waves ago. Because Palpatine and aces where the best thing in the park. But Sabine arrived dropped some bombs and scared Fel.

About initiative, always a player must have initiative which is decided at the beggining of the game. If both players have the same points spent on the squad then it is deicded randomly, if a player has lower points spent then that player decides who has the initiative.

The thing with aces that can reposition is that they want to see where the oponents ended before doing all their shenanigans. If two or more ships are tied in pilot skill the player with initiative must move them first, he also shoot with them first in the combat phase. So if you are playing this inquisitor which is ps8 against lets say Expertise Rey which is also a ps8 you want rey to move first so then you can arcdodge to activate your autothursters and deactivate Rey's natural blank rerolls.
