Hi all

Just started Runewars - so here is my starting WIP on

Is the light blue highlight airbrushed on? I like the progression pics. Does a good job of showing the process.

Her hair could use a wash. Also, she looks really hangry. Paint her in a sneakers bar.

1 all "air" paints are applied using airbrush

2 I still haven't painted hair (at posting moment)

So stay tuned for more progress

I think just one dark blue wash on the hair and she's perfect. Well that and a snickers.

wish i could get painting faces down.

I was rather pleased that the humans are all wearing full helms so what little of their face you see can basically be ignored (slap barbarian flesh, hit with a wash, dab their nose for a highlight, done) but when i got to kari i completely forgot she has no helm. Both my shaky hands and probably not the best paint-thinning skills prevent me from giving her non-creepy eyes lol...

Just paint eyes black then left and rightmost edges with dot of white - just don't paint white near nose o VERY little

Yeah ive heard that trick before, i just cant nail it right. Seems like every time i try i overblot the eye and it spills over the eyelids or its not wet enough so it leaves no mark.
And of course when i go back to fix the eyelid i almost ALWAYS get in the eye again lol....its easily the hardest thing i struggle with in painting minis. And ive gotten used to 40k minis where its almost never a thing you have to worry about anyway.

Here are final steps before making final photos

Excellent! I'm just finishing up my Kari and yours is an inspiration.

Liking all these cause they are good progression images and display the paints you use. Great job!

My finished Runewars Kari Wraithstalker.

I got one eye to look good and couldn't get the other, so now my Kari wears an eye patch. :)

Her eyes gave me fits as well (despite knowing the 'trick' above). In the end I said good enough and moved on with life.

Love it and the base is stellar
