Squadron Command Plate (Update: 05/01/2017)

By Darth Sanguis, in Star Wars: Armada

Hey folks!

I've received a few messages about my other designs so I'm making this thread to keep updates on squadron command plate designs and releases centralized.

First off if you haven't seen the original design, see here:

Secondly, this update is in regards to the two future designs I had posted in the forums, see blow:

The Revised Command Plate . (designed to allow players to detach their dials from the plate and place them near their correlating squads when necessary to allow for easier tracking while still maintaining a hands free approach)

The Squadron Repeater . (A much more complex design devised to maintain all relevant stats such as HP and Activation on the squad base, requiring only the press of a button, lowering chances bumps)

***UPDATE*** As of this moment plans for these two designs have been put on halt

While I am trying to get the revised version sorted (hopefully by the release of wave 6, as Sloane will see an increase in mass standard fighters I suspect), I do not have a schedule written out, this project has yet to even be prototyped. As for the Repeater I'm very sad to announce it will likely not be made. I've contacted several fabrication companies and the size restrictions simply make the parts too costly to fab. I'll continue looking into it, but it will likely not happen.

I look forward to your future ideas and designs.

Was always awesome ideas. :)

Used the designs for the start of the CC campaign yesterday. Only thing was that the card slot works just for the card without the protector. Not a huge deal or anything, just something I didn't account for. I did end up taking one and wiring a 5 button recordable sound module to the back to see what I could do making sounds come out of it. Speaker isn't quite at the level I want, but it works. :)

The revised version, when and if it ever gets off the ground will be designed to fit sleeved cards.

That's pretty neat with the sound module!
