Anyone use these Ion batteries with success?

Yep, I think you could see a Medium-Based, Blue-Dice-Heavy, Broadside-Layout, Ion Boat in the 60 point range.

Tactically it would be easy to have it be the lead in a formation and use Overload Pulse or even NK-7s and follow up with the other ships in your fleet.

While that doesn't fit the Profundity as described, it could be the alternate version of the MC-75 we would get access to.

So an Interdictor but without the absurd premiums of gigantic hull, better Engineering, and Experimental shenanigans. Am I following you?

Also using Profundity as a "support ship" like that, both designs intended to clear the way for the rest of the fleet with specific upgrades like OP, Phylons, certainly some new nonsense, could be an interesting change in pace than what the Rebels have at the moment.

Something like that. Although with stretched broadsides and fewer dice in the front and rear arcs.

But yeah, playing with the Interdictor as an Ion platform has been interesting. If it was a little faster it would work better in that lead role for something like OP.
