I'm not sure adding a TLT to the Empire, especially in order to make them more competitive is the best thing for the game.

Neither was giving contracted scout an EPT but here we are.

Also i'm hoping somehow unguided rockets mini swarm can make a splash.

Interesting last match. Not to take away from Justin, he obviously is a far more skilled X-winged than I can hope to be, but daggum if those Jump Masters aren't the lamest.

I don't disagree, but adding more of something that a lot of people don't find fun or interesting already doesn't help.

That is also a valid point.

Well it is not only the Jumpmasters fault. Game is killed by bombs and Palpatine nerf. This way all arc dodgers with the exception of one underpriced (Concord Dawn Protector) are dead.
Thus brutal power of red dice became a king - so in meta will be only the ships that can survive in this new reality - thus Miranda, Dash, Biggs, Fenn and Jumpmasters - that is all.

Because Palpatine was such a "bad card" - enjoy your new meta whiners.

Forum dwellers should now stop talking about nerfing TLT as it was nowhere to be seen. Perhaps Auto-Blaster turret should be nerfed because it almost won worlds. Great final match! I am super ready for store champs season now.

If the Jumpmaster did not have a turreted primary, it would still be a good torp boat. It also just happens to be the easiest way to fix this ship. Dancing around and errataing other cards doesn't change the jumpmaster dominance. The add ons isn't what makes the jumpmaster a broken ship.

Justin still played that list as good as it could be played. Congrats.

Jumpmaster was hold in check by Imperial Aces fine. Unfrotunately Sabine and Palpatine nerf happened.

You sure that was the case at last years worlds?

You sure Dengaroo wasn't nerfed in the meantime?

Note that the winning list had 0 contracted scouts. Ept on the scout isn't the problem

I'm sure the lack of Imps in high level tables was just a result of Imp players being uncreative and lazy. If only they'd be more creative and create lists that don't suck, Imps would be doing well in the meta.

/s

Can we FINALLY start having a conversation about how f**ked the FAQ was and how it completely obliterated Imps out of the meta for no good reason? Yes Palp and X7 were good, but they were the only things holding the faction together.

Here's some music to get you in the Star Wars mood.

Nothing beat that one:

@MortalPlague Completely off topic, but I am liking that Scandroid channel. Thanks for sharing.

This on the generic; and the dial for the price.

This is not even remotely true.

Yeah, it's always been the cost of the chassis itself, which is way too cheap for how good it is. Also Dengar's ability is just stupidly good.

It's not Dengar; it's not Manaroo, it's not contracted scout. It is a combo of the dial, the upgrade possibilities and the point cost. In short, it is the platform, the Jumpmaster. Not a pilot, not a droid, not an ept. Nerfing all those other things people keep putting on this ship won't make it not too good. All it will do is make a big errata mess without addressing the real problem.

Congrats to Justin for winning the WC! I had a great time watching from remote this weekend -- wife's best friend picked a terrible time to get married! Alex and Matt did great commentary on the final match, and the podcast community awesomely levered the powerhouse that is Dion/Gold Squadron to put on a terrific show! I am super stoked for Store Championship season now!

I wonder if the other rebel list would have faired better. Since braylen could have stressed dengar and turned experise off

Not since the deadeye nerf no. And to put it in context the person I was replying to was making the point that giving imps a TLT wasn't exactly the best move for the game. Which is why I replied that putting an EPT on the scout wasn't the best move either. Which leads to my other point that the ship has been nothing but trouble competitively since it's release. All 4 pilots have broken top 8s and won consistently. In fact since it's debut It's won worlds twice in a row. There's not another ship in the game you can say that about, save the Falcon, which only had 2 decent pilots, only one of which won worlds. It's the ship itself.

add me to the pile of people above saying the problem is the Jump chassis itself. I guess maybe start by ditching the BR as that takes some of the repositioning bite out - at least then we can keep track of 'em. If that doesn't work (and it probably wont) more severe surgery is required...

While I approve of the idea of killing the BR, I think the real solution is the cost. And I know they never change costs.

Tricky, eh?

Hey guys, just getting ready to peruse the forum. Anything good happen today?

With Dengar's PS and all the greens he was doing to trigger the droid, probably not. The stress would need to be applied before Dengar takes his shot. This is one of the reasons why Ventress is so popular right now. She screws with mind link and expertise.

@Reiver It is a mess to change a number like cost since it is easy to forget when adding up the points. The simplest solution and one that would fix the ship is to remove the turret. It is very easy to remember and brings the ship inline with the likes of the U-Wing or the Epsilon, though it would still be better.
