A really popular list today in the competitive scene is "Rau Boats" and rightfully so. I've been kicking around some alternatives to the list and came up with this.

I came up with this because Fenn Rau in the Rau Boats list is the one who can die quickly/have counters. Asajj is such a great pilot on a great ship so combining her with U-Boats seems like a great idea. The problem is that you have to sacrifice on ordnance from the typical U-Boat list. No extra munitions, no plasma torps/proton torps. What it does get is a larger amount of stress control with Asajj and the Flechettes. Thoughts?

I fear that this list is too pillow-fisted. Those Flechette Torpedoes don’t have much bite, and against larger ships they don't even give the stress effect...

Really, the question here is how best to spend 60 points on two Contracted scouts. Starting with what you have here:

Now you've got yourself your Flechette Boat and a Bumpmaster who can slice the stress right off of its victim. Munitions Failsafe is weirdly better here than the Guidance Chips, because if you miss, you keep the Torpedoes, but the badguy still takes the stress! You know who you have a good chance of missing? Squirrelly ships with 4 or less staring hull.

Regardless of what version you fly, I'd love to hear your thoughts after a couple of games with it.

i think ur list needs proton torps. theyre 3pts so for what they do its worth it.

Proton Torpedoes are 4 points. How would you fit them in?

Excellent suggestion on the munitions failsafe E Chu Ta. However, you loose the R4 agromech which I feel is pretty pivotal to their ability to fire torpedoes and make their 2 dice PWT effective.

You could dump the Black Market Slicer Tools on the Bumpmaster to upgrade the Unhinged Astromech to the R4 Agromech. Seems like a toss up, to be honest.

I prefer getting more damage through. But yeah, Boba is fun.

my bad. i meant plasma's. of course running boba fett crew with protons is good too. So why bot both, one on each U-Boat?

If you just want raw sustained offensive power you can also skip Latts on Asajj and give both U-boats extra munitions and plasma torpedoes. Asajj loses some of the tankiness but all the ships can bite hard throughout the game while having a lot of 2 agility hit points for the opponent to chew through. Asajj still has her stress ability so there is some control in there.
