Empire is fine, that's a good stretch of time to pick from.
One shot pbp for a practice at GM-ing
I'm pretty sure I speak for the rest of us who are offering to play, that we can work with whatever setting parameters you come up with. That's one of the fun things about this system really, it's flexibility. It takes very little effort to shift things around based on details. So just come up with whatever premise/setting/time period you want, and we'll build around it once you tell us what it will be.
Yep, you tell us the time and place, with a reason to be together and we will fill in the gaps.
I personally prefer the game starts with the PC's already being friends rather than their first meeting, but anything can work with this game!
Shortly before a new hope.
So alderan is still around, nobody knows about the death star, Rebel Alliance is becoming a serious thorn in the Imp side. Before or after Rogue One?
Juggo is the traditional Scoundrel/pilot. He's not much of a fighter, that was Jamba's schtick, and is more of a talker and flier, but he's a decent shot with his blaster pistol and not that shy about using it if the situation requires it. He's not so sure about this whole rebellion thing. They've got a cause sure, and a good one, but causes aren't really his thing, and they're more a means to an ends. Specifically the ends of saving his brother.
Haven't made up a character sheet yet, but you can assume he'll be good at piloting and underworld stuff (streetwise, skulduggery, deception, maybe some charm). If someone else with decent intellect can pick up Astrogation, that would save me a lot of XP. 4 agility 3 cunning 2 everything else. We'll see if I'll be able to pick up tricky target or defensive driving, but I don't want to sink everything into piloting talents.
Knight level means 150xp over the normal starting?
Also, when you talk about "Legends content," you're talking about the expanded universe stuff that got dumped with the new movie continuity? Or does that statement have other meaning?
Since Shard wants to have a variety of situations coming up, what are we missing? Right now it looks like we don't have a social or computer character? I've been thinking about a Diplomat Analyst, they would be good with both computer, research and have some social skills.
Actually my PC is going to be a slicer/infiltrator, so we should have computers covered.
In that case I might pick another spec from the Diplomat tree, or possible Commander. Still not sure yet...

Hey, sorry I haven't posted, I've been following the thread. If you guys were counting me as one of the five I'd still be interested in playing. And if that is the case, I can play something other than a smuggler if that is what you are wanting to do. Like I said I'm flexible
We have the Cunning side of things wrapped up (three of us probably have Cunning 3), so too Piloting and I'll have a Brawn of 4. Intellect sounds covered with the slicer/Inf. I'll nail Vigilance but only a 2 in Willpower.
We definitely need a gunner type character and some kind of Presence based face. Doesn't sound like we have any survival/outdoors characters either, but with 3 characters having above average Cunning it's probably not essential
Being a social face type of character can be fun. I'll take a look and see what I can come up with.
After Rogue One so some of the rebels know about the death star

Your name makes me think of a guy with unicorns for hands, that goes around punching people.
And yes I'm referring to expanded universe, but I don't know how much of it'll be referenced or not yet, it's just what I've grown up on.
Just now, TheShard said:And yes I'm referring to expanded universe, but I don't know how much of it'll be referenced or not yet, it's just what I've grown up on.
That's fine, I know next to nothing of the EU/Legends stuff. If there are any important bits of "common knowledge" related to the EU you are including, just let us know for reference, beyond that, whatever should be fine.
I present Kaz.

Its shamelessly inspired by Batman, although lacking in the Coercion side of things since I didn't want that part entirely.
Im actually not entirely convinced it's what I want, it lacks a useful ability for vehicle combat, a Cyber Enhanced arm would help but it's too expensive even for knight level
Question about Knight Play, are we able to buy higher than 2 ranks in a skill when using Knight XP? Or is it still limited to 2 ranks?
Knight play is you make your character, then gain 150 XP. So it can be used for anything but characteristics.
Are we only missing a leader type character now? If so I have a few ideas for Commander career characters. Also how do we want to handle the command structure?
EDIT: Just checked @Richardbuxton is right, my bad.
Edited by Imperial Stormtrooper@TheShard what's your feelings about buying Restricted items with our Knight Level money? I have 2 things in mind that fit the concept fairly well, but I'll look elsewhere if you don't approve.
Cybernetic Cavity (Fly Casual p48) grants a single rank of Hidden Storage which is inside your body under synth flesh. It can be picked up by full body scanners but smaller detection devices may miss it.
Reflec Shadowskin (Keeping The Peace p57) adds 1 automatic Advantage to stealth checks. There are a few mods; 1 rank of Stalker and 2 that add Setback to Perception to see the wearer.
Knight Level increases the maximum skill level to 3 (I would allow Corellians to go to 4 with Piloting, ask your GM )
K, max of 3 it is. Giggity.
If we are going all A Team style we definitely need a leader. I think any of the Commanders specs would fit well
So, what are we doing about transportation? Because I've still got like 7900 credits that I can't find anything to spend it on, that wouldn't push me over encumbrance, so I was considering buying a speeder bike or something. Have we decided on a ship or whatever our group resource will be?

A Droid assistant? Cybernetics?
There is also an awesome Slicing Computer (Special Modifications p67) vehicle attachment. 5000cr and it adds 1 automatic Advantage to computer checks to slice enemy ships. Has some mods for Innate Talents, Codebreaker x 2 and Defensive Slicing x 1.
Yeah but what vehicle would I be putting it on? If it's on my speeder, I can't afford it and the speeder. And if it's on the ship we have, then I won't buy the speeder. Also I don't have that book, so it's hard to reference that material
Might look into some cybernetics though, even if I buy the speeder, I've got about 4k left.
So this is my character for now. Equipment might change somewhat, depending on some factors, like spending creds on attachments for the ship, which i'm fine doing btw.

aaand I just noticed I didn't actually input my list of Talents from my worksheet to the character sheet.....le sigh. *does that*
Ok, there we go. Talents actually listed this time.
Your first adventure will be to steal a ship.
So no worries on that, I will be roughly pacing the story like the movies, so you'll get space time, ground time, with a bit of mass combat.
Don't mind restricted items but you'll have to justify why your character would have them and how they were able to get them, if you shoot for very illegal it might have ic consequences.
